Here's a piece for you:

Here's the artist. (http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap080413.html)

I guess this is kinda an ambivalent topic. The HST puts out some pretty nice pictures sometimes; the preview from the APOD rss feed made me think of a nice abstract painting. If I had painted it, I might call it 'Souls Rising to Zion' or something.

I used to hate abstract art until I saw some piecesand fell in love with it! :) That paint somehow reminds me of space! Many people who make banners make abstracts with smudge but actually their work means nothing. Everytime I try to make an abtract work I try to put a meaning in it. That's where you can find the difference between some abstract art where you have really no idea what is that, and others where you can see even more than two things :)

Pretty cool photo there. That wouldn't make a half-bad painting really

Ooh Polaris! The funny thing is that it actually IS from space!

>>> Nothing against that kind of art but i`d rather look at pictures of nebulae, galaxies ,etc. those are more beautiful that any painting a man can create.

It's a picture of Helix Nebula NGC 7293, actually. Taken by the Hubble Space Telescope.
