I wanna play Chrono Cross!:mad2:

But I live in the UK. And I cant buy it. Do you think I will ever be able to buy it? And do you need to have played Chrono Trigger to understand the story?

But its not fair! I saw the intro and it was awesome...

No. It is unlikely that this game will be released in any way, shape, or form for the next several years. I suggest downloading the game and running it on an emulator; if you are not willing to import the game, then you will never play the game.

You should be able to download it and play it on your PSP with a bit of tweaking.

You'd basically have to import it, yeah. And no, it's not really essential to have played Trigger beforehand. Their stories are pretty loosely related, or at least the direct references to Trigger are presented so nonchalantly that players new to the series might not really notice. This nonchalant attitude is a big reason why many Trigger fans hate Cross. Personally, I enjoyed both for their own distinct merits, but I have to cite Trigger as being the superior experience overall. I take a lot of issuse with various aspects of Cross' storyline and its characters, but in terms of pure FUN the game is a godsend. Some of the most all-out fun I've ever had with an RPG. CC battle system= <3

For the record, it does suck that you guys didn't get either game. I cannot understand why. o.O

If it makes you feel any better, I resent you bastards for getting Terranigma and the "director's cut" versions of Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, and Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner, and making me import. ;)

If you are really interested in the storyline of Chrono Cross, you can read a plot synopsis and list of theories and speculation at Chrono Compendium (http://www.chronocompendium.com/). If you cannot play the game, maybe visiting this resource will let you feel like you're not completely missing out, and I know that their community is fairly emulation friendly, so you may be able to get some assistance on setting up the game by piracy.

^lol, but I would need an emulator wouldnt I? Im not sure if I can be bothered with all the hassle.

Thanks Roogle for the Chrono Compendium link. I'll take a look at it after my exams. (few weeks time)

Haha, I know, that sucks! Dammit, why coulnt they call it 'Final Fantasy Chrono Cross'. At least that way it would reach Europe due to the sales.

Just import it or download the ISO's, set your PSP up for homebrewing and custom firmware, and just convert the ISO's to eBoot format and voila! Chrono Cross on your PSP. It's how I play it now (before was with a modded PSX back in the day, that has now since broken).

Edit: The game is awesome, so gtfo! :D

UK member here too, I downloaded ePSXe awhile back along with Chrono Cross, took 3 days with internet help to get it working due to all the needed plugins and all the glitches that the rom had though.

I am glad that in the past few years us UK/Europe gamers are finally getting some attention with the FFT PSP port and the CT DS port which currently has no european release date but since the DS is region free you can just import it and it'll play on a PAL DS legit. (evidence: imported pokemon Pearl when it came out in the US and a few VN anime games from Japan, Play-Asia ftw)

That is unfair that they didn't bring it out to where you live. They did that to the growlanser series where only 3 out of 5 of them are in english and in one of them you don't understand certain things becuase they referr to a previous installment that didn't come out in english. So at times you go "What are you talking about?"

Well if it makes you feel better, my chrono cross disc 1 magically dissapeared one day and i haven't been able to play it since; and i hope they put it on the ds so i can play it again.

i doubt very seriously if Cross did get a re-release that it would be on the DS, it's more likely to come out on the PSP, hopefully on a collectable UMD, but more likely to be on the PSN Store the way things are going... i own both the DS & PSP and i feel it's safe to say the DS could never handle Cross without severely cutting down on a lot of things, besides it's easier to port a disc game to another disc than it is to port from disk to card or vice versa, remember the port of Trigger from cart to disc, bad idea there...

This game was good but not completely awesome imo. If youre looking for a good game from back then I'd recommend Legend of Dragoon (which I think came out within the same week as Chrono Cross, maybe same day I dont remember) and it was one of (or the) best ps1 titles.

Chrono Cross is mind-blowing. I live in Europe (in Poland, dude - we don't even get some of the stuff guys in England, Germany or France get :rolleyes2). You hav a PSP - convert it to custom firmware. My friend helped me out with that, but I'm sure you can get plenty of tips on how to do that on the internet. Trust me - it's a better way then emulating.
