I downloaded Thunderbird - because I like the Mozilla Corporation - and am having some issues in getting it to realize that all my accounts are on Hotmail...

Does anyone know how to set up Thunderbird to work with Hotmail accounts?

EDIT: See my next post.

Mr. Google and I happened to find a solution.

Thread can now be closed, or better yet, be used to give various tips and the like for a new user of Thunderbird.

Ok then, here's a tip for new email client (not web clients though) users. :p

If you're using a webmail service, first be sure that it does offer either POP or IMAP services. Then, search their documentation for the servers that you need to plug into the client. Most webmail providers will provide some sort of guide. :p

Thunderbird would have to be used with the Webmail extension (in addition, the Hotmail extension to that) to get mail from Hotmail.

Contacts Sidebar (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/70) and Minimize To Tray (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/2110) are two quite essential add-ons, in my opinion.
