Are you referring to desktop themes?

I don't know what OS you're using, but for Windows XP:
Windows XP Themes, Skins, and Screensavers (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/desktop/default.mspx)
Windows XP Themes (http://www.tipsdr.com/?cat=44)

If you don't find something you like there, just google "windows xp desktop themes" and you're sure to find something.

UXTheme Patcher (http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/OS-Enhancements/UXTheme-MultiPatcher.shtml) is what I used to use when I ran XP. Get that, and go check out Deviant Art. They have tons of nice themes there.

As a side note, does anyone know a good theme patch for Vista? (Does such a thing even exist?)

None of Mullet's links have spyware or viruses in them. :p

If you want a whole replacement to the Explorer shell, check out AstonShell or WindowBlinds. I used both very briefly but neither were for me. It's probably more viable now that the average amount of RAM and CPU power has gone up. Peegee can probably tell you more than I can about Astonshell.

WindowsBlinds is far too CPU intensive imo, I am currently useing StyleXP and it doesnt increase my cpu useage in the slightest.

UXTheme Patcher isn't CPU intensive at all.
