A rumor has popped up recently. In the latest "Iwata Asks" segment, he was interviewing Shigeru Miyamoto. That can be found here. (http://us.wii.com/iwata_asks/crossbow/vol1_page1.jsp) During this interview between Mr. Iwata and Shigeru Miyamoto, Miyamoto expresses his immense like for First Person games, or more specifically, First Person Shooters. He claimed that during the development of Ocarina of Time, he proposed the idea that Ocarina of Time should be a First Person game, but then says that Link just looked too cool to not be seen by the player. Either that, or the Child to Adult gameplay element wouldn't have worked out as well in first person, but that's just me. They then go on to talk about Link's Crossbow training, and Miyamoto goes on about how the journey should be fun, and not just the end, and that things shouldn't take too long to complete in games. But that's beside the point. But look at this funny prototype for the Wii Zapper anyway:

Lawl.

Anyway, there's also another rumor circulating around the intarwebz that Retro Studios is producing the next Zelda game. So, many believe that the next Zelda game may end up being a first person Zelda game.

What do you think of this? Do you think the rumor is well founded? How do you think a first person Zelda game would be? Etc.

Discuss pl0x.

There's not going to be a first person Zelda game. :P That's what Metroid Prime is for.

Also, that prototype Zapper would probably be more comfortable than the regular Zapper. ;>_>
