I was at a Casino yesterday and won £80 for 1st place in the Texas Hold'Em Tournament! There were 10 players on the table, most of them over 40 so they all underestimated me because im 20. Two guys started getting really annoyed calling me jammy and whatnot because I took someone out with a pair of 2s. Fact is, his face was like an open book. Also, I tried to not pull much attention towards myself by not doing big bets until later on in the game, but instead gradually building up my chips. At the end it was me against my friend, which was really fun!

I dont play poker very often but I think im quite good. Im awful at math/probabilities but can read people pretty well.

So EoFFers, do you like poker? Have you ever been to a Casino? What other games do you like? Blackjack? Roullette?

I recently started playing Hold 'em Poker for the first time with classmates, having already learned how and read up on and watched a lot of technique, so I mopped the floor with them.

Playing for real money's supposed to be a lot more difficult though; I was pretty reckless and my beginner's luck has yet to run out.

Incidentally, I think this should technically go in General Gaming :p

I like poker best. Texas Hold 'Em. I like the skill involved of reading opponents and stuff. I'm good enough to win sometimes, but not good enough to win all the time and be banned from friendly games with my mates, which is nice. :D

I played poker at a friends house, but none of us really knew the rules, so I kept getting a lad (who was also in the game) to look at my cards and he told me whether they were good or not. I ended up loosing all my chips, and stealing some from one person when they left the table for a few minutes. ;D

I learn the rules to card games, and enjoy them, and then I forget them again almost instantaneously. It's a cruel world

Snap is a waste of energy.

Poker is awesome...we play many varieties, hold'em being the most popular we play more often, along with it's cousin omaha....but we also play stud, draw, and liar's poker.

It was a friendly match xD only 2 of us knew what we were doing, no money was involved!

Fo' real.

I don't know the rules for Poker but I've several friends who enjoy it. I've never played it myself, but I imagine I'd find it fun, though I'm sure I'd be useless at keeping a straight face.
