I am currently making some shorts. I have none at all, and I live in the desert.

Have you folks every made clothing, or altered?

(Maybe I'll just stay pants less :O)

Just Halloween costumes. I'd like to do more though.

I wear my pants until they have rips in them...usually about 3 years per pair and then when the rips get to big TADA! I have a new pair of shorts!

I also made my own Goku cosplay once. That was awful.

Shall I offer you some cutoffs?

AK just got aroused.

I did a FFX-2 thief cosplay of Rikku once. A bright yellow bathing suit isn't that tough to find, surprisingly. Other than that...We were forced to make shorts in middle school once. Everyone BS'd it and came in with weird patterns and such. I now have really weird, uneven zebra striped shorts with horrible stitching that have never been worn.

Also, I'm tall, like 5'10", so if my pants shrink a little in the dryer, I'll take out the hem at the bottom of the pants. Does that count?:D

Hey hey, it takes a little more than that, you know. -_-

.. but just a little more. :p

I've done a ton of sewing. Being short it's difficult to get clothes that fit. My grandmother taught me how to sew and I truly thank her for that. :cat:

I made all of my historical re-enactment garb; some of it hand-sewn in the traditional way, some done by machine but hemmed by hand for that look of authenticity. Most of it's trimmed or embroidered too. Coats, tunics, trousers, hats, hood and cloak, belt pouches - there's quite a bit of variety there.

I'm probably going to make some contemporary stuff sometime, likely a flashy coat of my own design.

I know how to sew and knit a little bit. I never made a cosplay outfit before, though.

It's fun to walk around nakky!

I don't think I've ever made any clothes myself. I've made stuffed animals and stuff like that, though.

Yep n.n

My favorite is the long ribbons I added to one of my jackets!

Inspired by Rikku!

All my friends had these awful bright yellow sneakers and I only had my white ones, so I painted them with some paint I got in some toy set. didn't quite get the reaction I expected, for some reason...

Yep, at school once I made some jorts (short jeans) for a class of mine.

Currently, I am making cotton pyjamas that have LION patterns on it. The lions look like they have been drawn by a four year old... which makes it extra cooler!

((Kwiksew patterns are goooood ))
((Over-lockers are annoying to thread ))

Nope! I've been sewing pouches, bows, scrunchies, bunny ears, etcetera.

The first clothes I attempt to sew will be panties and skirts (for Tiki and me).

urm, the most I've ever made was a cushion, it had little butterflies on it! I hardly did any of it myself, though, I got my friends to do all the difficult parts (like the zip, and threading a machine - I seriously could not do that, no matter how many times I tried). I got a bad mark as my teacher said it wasn't even my work, which was true xD

I hated textiles.

Back when I was a kid, I wanted to be a fashion designer so I made a TON of clothing for my barbie dolls. Dresses, pants, suits, the whole deal. My grandma even got me a sewing machine for my little designs. But I never managed to go life size with the sewing and stuff.

Sometimes when I watch project runway, I have the incredible urge to dig out my sewing machine and start rocking out some amazing clothes. But I'm lazy, and it's just easier to buy clothes than it is to make 'em.

I've never done anything more than darn my socks. Making/altering clothes is something that I'd like to do in theory, but I'd never actually be bothered to acquire the skills/materials and get it done.

I sew moderately well. I wish I could do more, but my machine busted so I have to wait until I can replace it. :(
