Blue Smarties are back. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYPGaAmjKOg)

Anyone else seen this advert? Was anyone else as strangely happy as I was?

Discuss the awesome-ness of the blue Smartie.

I haven't had smarties for years, I never knew they were gone. <_<

Yay, candy?

They were always there, just changed the tube from circular to hexagonal, getting rid of the letters lids in the process.

They also had to take out the blue ones, as until recently, there was no way to colour them blue without using artificial ingredients, and they're just trying to make candy less unhealthy. :p

Personally, I miss the light green ones being white chocolate which they did for a limited time; I have to make do with the orangey orange ones.

We made a theory in my astronomy class that consisted of this:

If it's a candy, and it comes in blue, it is automatically the best candy in the box/bag. If it's a drink and it comes in blue, then it is automatically the best drink out of the choice of drinks.

Clearly, the blue smarties coming back and having a commercial saying that the blue is back shows that the rest of the world believes this too.

YAY BLUE CANDIES!

Remember when they did those purple ones that were yellow inside, pineapple flavoured? Those were disgusting, and I ate loads thinking they were just regular purple ones.

I'm not excited about the blue smartie, because I think they all taste the same anyway, except the orange one. I don't really eat smarties anymore, either.

I remember when they had a "Who Stole The Blue Smarties" mystery years and years ago. I just kind of assumed that once that was over they replaced them and it stayed that way. I can't say I noticed that the blue ones were gone. But hey, more colours. I guess that's a good thing.

This doesn't affect me all that much though. I'm more of a Skittles man.

I like Reeses myself.

Which is odd cause normally I'm not a big peanut butter or chocolate fan, but together they form the greatest candy item this world has ever known.

It's been a while since I've had Smarties, so I don't really remember that the blue ones were ever gone.

I was at the movies with two of my friends the other day, though, and both me and one of the others bought M&Ms. To our delight the orange M&M had returned, and we were both like "Woo! Orange M&M!!". I guess you had to be there

I remember when everyone used to argue over blue Smarties; I wasn't really fussed, I usually just pour them into my hand and eat them regardless of colour.

I thought they all tasted the same!

Obviously Pepsi Blue was not an option.:p

On topic, the blue smarties are by far the best, so this is exciting.

Anytime you eat something blue, your entire mouth turns that color, and then you smile or laugh and people look at you weird (sadly, I know from personal experience)

Now I barely like anything sweet.

Hmmm...

Smarties are not distributed in the United States, except by specialist importers. The Ce De Candy company manufactures a hard, tablet sweet under the name Smarties, which is unrelated to the Nestlé product.

No fair! Why don't we get delicious, chocolatey Smarties!? American Smarties suck.
