Hey guys! I'm opening another thread, purely because I LOVE Blitz! I'm interested on peoples teams.
Mines:
Wakka
Tidus
Brother
Jassu
Kyou
Jumal
Brother is about 10 levels infront of the others because he's just so amazing lol..
So what are your teams? :D

Just a few days ago, I had this team:

LF: Eigaar
RF: Tidus
MF: Brother
LD: Balgerda
RD: Ropp
GL: Nimrook

But then I learned about the Aurochs' connection to Wakka's final limit, so now it's:

LF: Tidus
RF: Brother
MF: Wakka (until he is levelled enough to actually score any goals, when he'll become a Forward and Letty will take this place maybe)
LD: Botta
RD: Jassu
GL: Keepa

It's not like it's any trouble winning, anyway. :) By the way, does Wakka count to improve Aurochs Reels? And those warming the bench?

The games are far too easy. But its still fun and relaxing.

I cant remember my team. Tidus with Jecht shot. Occassionally a Ronso striker. I had a Ronso in goal who was really good too.

I must admit, I did find the first match you play difficult. I lost first time, so I replayed it and beat those stupid Lucans into the ground. After that though, matches become really easy since your own characters develop far faster than your opponents. Thats what I found, anyway. I dont think Ive ever lost a match except against the Luca Goers first time. And I unlocked Wakka's World Champion, using a slightly cheap method that I found on GameFAQs...

All are around level 50 and are quite interchangeable, eg Wedge can fill in in goal while Kyou gets some practice defending, Linna can act as a forward etc. And I got them before reaching Macalania Temple.

Wakkas stats don't suck. I saved, reset my team, saved in a new file, recruited Jumal, Kyou, Wakka, Brother and now I have a wicked team :]
I kept Jassu because he has good stats end game.

All I remember from blitzball is that I played it too much and I scored 19 goals in one game once. So they must have been ok players.

19 goals! That's about 1 every 30 seconds! I don't want to doubt you, but surely the keeper must have been on high risk or something. My record of 8 was achieved in those circumstances (1st half anyway when I scored 5). I would guess you need a strong tackling F or M to get the ball back, plus a great shooter too.

There is no connection between your BB team and Wakka's overdrive. You may have gotten Auroch Reels (overdrive) confused with Aurochs Spirit (BB tech), which is affected by the number of Auroch players on your team.

Ive definitely scored at least 14 goals in one match. Cant remember my maximum though. So yeah, it is possible. And I was just playing normally.

If you snap up all the good players early, it really aint hard to beat them into the ground.

I didn't put much effort into learning and mastering all the intricacies of the game, but I guess that once you get to a certain point you can just hammer it in. It never occurred to me that the other teams level up as well. For a while I thought 20 must have been the maximum because 19 was so hard to do and I didn't think there was anyway to score more than once every thirty (game) seconds. But I was searching around the internet last night and finding claims of 20+. :eek:

Youve got to be kidding me. I'm reading tales of 19 and 20 goals on blitz? I've never scored above 14 and I've never lost a game in that season. I have an amazing team who are astonishingly fast and I just cant seem to get enough plays in to score more than 14. I thought this was the limit. You know what you've done? Eh? Im in the middle of the VII series and now youve got me thinking about replaying X just to see if I can beat 14 or indeed any true score people decide to post on here. Damn those who make us question our gam...... wait... wait.... hang on.... is that right?.... yeah.... OK. I have a revised press release from my PR..... I would like to officially thank all of you who give me the incentive to replay any FF game. This is an unreserved statement and I look forward to such suggestions in the future. My family and I could not be more greatful of these individuals who are striving for a better future for us all.:mog:

My goal record is 22. To get a high score you need several favourable factors. Firstly, the opposition's goalie must be low levelled or have Hi Risk, and must not have Grip Gloves or Super Goalie equipped as these waste time. Secondly, the opposition's MF must be low levelled or have Hi Risk equipped, or have stats such that your MF can always take the ball from them. It's also useful if their MF has above average speed. Lastly, your MF needs to have high AT and SH. Larbeight and Linna are good candidates. Then all you need to do is steal the ball from their MF and shoot as soon as possible with a Lv3 tech.

Before anyone claims higher, the highest plausible score I've heard of is 27-0. As that is possible, 28-0 would also be possible given 14 goals were scored in one half when 27-0 was achieved.

And so I answer the initial question in this thread, my team is

Is Nimrook actually the best keeper?

I've been having main success with Durren.

If all the goalkeepers are at the same level, Nimrook is always the best. Durren is pretty good at lower levels, but is never better than Nimrook. Durren's CA never goes above 30, and actually falls to 24 by Lv99. Nimrook's keeps increasing to 67.

been planning to change jumal with nimrook once i get the change.
also zalitz will be switched for ropp once them dammed gaudo glories let him go.

This team has been unstoppable for me. Blitz is easy ive never even lost the 1st game against the Goers...If you need tips on beating the first Goers team then just ask and ill tell you the easy way. Last time i beat them 7-3. Theres always a big goal difference.
