Hey anyone know any good MP3 players. I previously had an Iriver which was remarkebly good but big, clunky and most of all it is starting to die on me after several years.

Here are my priorities (I really dont expect anyone to show me a player with all this but im just writing it down in case):

1. No Ipods. Seriously, these things are completely useless for the way I use mp3 players. I dont like Itunes, and its compatability with better programs such as MediaMonkey or Winamp is kind of bad. I dont like the syncing etc. I could go on but thats not what im here for.

2. At least 30gb of space, preferably 40gb or more.

3. Not too ugly. It doesnt have to look as good as an Ipod, im more about functionality, but I dont want it to look like something Gollum would pull out his pocketssess.

4. Drag and drop functionality preferred.

5. Good with mediamonkey. If you dont know the program then scratch this.

6. Dont need video support, dont mind ones that have it though.

7. Smallish. As long as its smaller than my clunky Iriver H320 its fine.

Any help would be much appreciated!!!

You're in luck, I used to work in the MP3 department in Best Buy:p

Because you're saying at least 30 GB and NO iPod, I'd say you should go with the Zune or the Creative Zen Vision:M. Both are wonderful with audio, video, photos, and FM tuners. There is newer technology being developed which will make higher capacities of the units smaller in physical size, which mostly has to do with flash drive vs hard drive, but hasn't been released yet; so basically anything with 30+ GB will be relatively big. Differences, the Zune has a bigger screen for videos. The Creative kinda looks like an iPod with different controls, but the screen size is the same relative to the iPod. Also, unique specifically to the Zune, is that it can do wireless transferring; so if you want a song that your friend has on his Zune, you can easily get it right from him. Each obviously comes in different pretty colors, and (I believe) has drag and drop for putting music on it.

So that's basically my Best Buy induced little run through; I'm sure there are some other MP3 players out there if you're not thrilled with either of these. I hope it helped a bit though:) Here are a couple sites to explain each better.
