Don't receed Lekana!
Drawing with a tablet can be extremely hard at the beginning. It's pretty much like drawing with your left hand.
However, when you keep trying results get better and better until you can do your best sketches in Photoshop. The key is using the tablet as often and for as many things as possibile. Which model do you own?

I love the idea of doing a piece around smoking. Good work.

Nice work Lekana, I like the texture. :) I'm thinking of getting a tablet, everyone is telling me to buy one. :p

Nice picture, Lekana. Now you need to make the eyes bloodshot, give her yellow teeth and put some wrinkles around the corners of the mouth. :)

You have a Graphire 2. :)
That thing's pretty old, but with some work it can make good drawings. Practice until you drop!

>>> Yeah, using the tablet its hard at the beginning but is way better than a mouse.
I have graphire 4, I dont know about the older models but I guess there is no much difference..

Yeah, I think newer Graphires have more spiffy buttons and the transparent layr on top, but that's all, they're not more sensitive.

By the way, you seem to start with a good control over general shape and composition, which is not easy in Photoshop.

If she has a cigarette holder, she shouldn't be holding the cigarette. At the most, she should be holding the holder.

It gets so so much easier really quickly. Just practise.

Learn to use the erase too to clean up your lines.

I prefer the choppy lines and messy edges, actually! ^_^ I really like it, nice piece!
