Today I leave for England! =O I'll get there at 8:00 am tomorrow morning~ I'm really REALLY nervous and excited, and it hasn't even sunk in all the way yet that I'm leaving xD

Mom's depressed but wants to be happy for me, dad's angry because that's how he deals with things, my sisters are sad that I'm leaving, and my big bro even says he doesn't want me to go (and he almost never says something about things like that). Don't know how my little brothers feel but yeah.

Anyway, all of their sadness makes me sad too, but I'm also happy, because we get to go on a real date for our anniversary this year~ And just being with him will make me happy enough that hopefully, the home sickness will be dimmed a little. I just hope things work out ok when I'm getting to my flights and stuff!

TOPIC: Ever go on a big journey all by yourself? How did you feel the day of the trip?

I pretty much go everywhere on my own. It never bothers me in the slightest. But then I am 27. :/

I never understand why people would want to come over here.

I have never been on a long journey on my own.

The lognest journey I ever had was going to a mall alone. That's it. If I would go, let's say overseas, for more than one week, I think I would freak out a little bit, then try to remind myself what I should be doing there.

Longest journey by myself? The bus back from Edinburgh a few years ago. I wasn't really worried about it, I was just tired from such an awesome day? :p

I have, ironically, left England to go to America for a visit before! The first time I went I was scared and nervous, but very excited. It was worth it all.

I wish you well! :D

I've never been further than Oxford on my own, and that's only 20 miles.

I had to go to London on my own once. That's a few hundred miles.

Your so lucky! I would love to go there! Too bad I live about 3000 miles away from Europe. :(

I've only ever been to Michigan by myself.

Well I was only there for one day...they sent me back cause I don't have the means to support myself if something goes wrong, I'm only 17, and don't have a visa :( But, I did have a safe and enjoyable trip (cept for immigration...eesh), I got to have one day with alan, and we have pics!

Can't come to Britain without a visa for any reason unless you are from a EU member state.

Sorry your trip got ruined, Celes :(

What, really? I'm kinda surprised.

Also, I think the longest trip I've ever taken alone was to Copenhagen, which is around 350 kilometers away (220 miles).

well yeah, it does admittedly suck that we only had one day together, BUT, it was the best day of my life :) The only hard part was saying goodbye...he couldn't stop crying that whole day =[ I was able to hold up till I got to Chicago, but when I got on the phone with my parents to talk about getting a plane from Chicago to Toledo, I totally broke down and couldn't stop crying. But thankfully we're in the process of getting me a visa so I can come back :D

@MILF: It wasn't TOTALLY ruined...=] We got to spend a day together and we were only nervous for the first hour together...after that, we were attached at the lips xD

Serious suckage at what happened to you (I don't know how I know because this is the first time I've read *this* thread -- wait it must be the marriage thread), but chin-up, you'll get through this. It will just take some time. I personally HATE waiting for things to happen. I want good things to happen now now now.

I'm very sorry the trip didn't work out as you'd hoped, especially with all the expense and excitement you've been building up. Hopefully the next time will work better:)
