Have you ever noticed that in the KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) ads, they play the song Sweet Home Alabama?

What about the Veramyst (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5412810512910580987&q=veramyst&ei=TttRSKvzJ5DA4ALV3syyDA&hl=en) commercial, where the subtitles state where "the way VERAMYST works is not entirely understood?"

What are some things that have happened in a company's commercial that instead of coersing you into buying their product or using their services, turned you off the entire thought altogether?

I really hate companies that use classic songs in their advertisements. Especially when it's some lame ass finance/investment/banking company using a classic rock song. It just cheapens the artistry of the original, y'know?

I also hate most comedy movie advertisements, especially when they try and cut two very obviously different scenes together to make a gag or something (recent example: The Love Guru. Jessica Alba's on a plane and is like "I have trouble with men!" and then Mike Meyers, who is obviously in a hockey arena, says "Then vurk vith meeeee." Though to their credit, all of the ads for The Love Guru are really bad)

(not that I think it's necessarily gonna be a bad movie but seriously they are just some really poorly done commercials)

There's this really bad ad for internet classifieds. It's as a trippy background and an choir singing in the backgrounds. I have no idea what any of that has to do with finding a job.

Car dealership commercials.

I don't think I have ever seen good one. Ever.

I hate those commercials/ads for something like allergy medicine, where they tell you the side effects:

"Side effects of __________ include dry skin, itchy eyes, impotence, diarrhea, constipation, incontinence, nosebleeds, and upset stomach. Warning: do not take _________ if you have ________, for you run the risk of a serious side effect that could ultimately end in death."

I'll take my sneezing, runny nose and sore throat, thanks.

A comercial that mentions my country as though its some form of patriotism to buy this product.

And what was said about classic songs.

Head On, apply directly to the forehead, Head On, apply directly to the forehead, Head On... (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Is3icfcbmbs)

I heard that commercial so much at my old work... Ugh.

Concerning classic songs: I find it blashpemous that an Elvis Presley song was unoriginally re-written to say "¡Viva Viagra!" :|

Classic rock cheese, no thank you. Also that thing where they do split screens of different uses for an item really puts me off. I don't know why, just does.

Those damn Truth commercials trying to get people to stop smoking, not only are they annoying and preachy, but just damn sick to boot. They make me want to start smoking again instead of quitting... I hate fear tactics

Commercials that disrespect men to sell their product. I boycott them all.

And I used to like Mike's Hard drinks.

I'd feel uncomfortable using it let alone singing a song about it xD
