Help with Hair

I've recently started gelling my hair, but I'm kinda having a problem. I want it to stick up all over the top, but it's only doing that at the front. What am I doing wrong?

Is the rest of your hair too short? You need longer hair to achieve proper Cloud hair status. Use the Grow Materia, champ. <3

As a general rule, you do not want to use water. If you want to use water (it's good to mold your hair), use it in very small amounts.

Use a strong gel (ex: dippity do -- orange color), glue gel (joico ice), or if you are feeling daring, use white or wood glue, but I've never had to use it, and I have had 7 inch spikey hair -- pic (http://img292.imageshack.us/img292/346/n5128023775211625853mj8.jpg) --

Usually that's enough for most people to spike their hair up at the back -- dry hair, strong gel. Pics help, once again. Post pics.

Too much gel can weigh your hair down, making it nigh impossible to get the desires sticky-uppy-ness.

Egg white can indeed be a good hair fixative; I know a guy who uses them on a nine-inch 'hawk with success. I think it can help if you somehow hang upside down while the gel or wax dries. Leaning off the edge of a bed or something should do it.

Elmer's school glue. I have it on good authority that it works extremely well. But use clear and not white for obvious reasons.

I know three different people who've done it for spikes and/or mohawks, so yeah.

Aha xD I didn't mean to sound doubtful, merely cautionary - I'm sure we've all seen misadventures that resulted from someone saying, "I heard that [X] works really well for [purpose Y]!" without having seen the results in person:)

well, glue is nontoxic and water soluble, so not very dangerous xD we put it in the hands of schoolkids daily, so it stands to reason that some gets in hair. Perhaps that's how his friends discovered its utility

White glue works. it's water soluble as mentioned, so you just need to rinse/bathe in hot water to dissolve it after the fact.

Wood glue works if you're desperate but I doubt you have the hair to justify such measures.

Stick to water based hair gel (without adding water) and see if it does what you need to. Then look for Joico (R) Ice Gel. That should be sufficient.
