Form of hero and sidekick... Go!

If you could pick any two characters from the Final Fantasy series to form a crime fighting duo, who would they be? This would be a "classic" duo where the lead hero is calm, suave, sophisticated and always comes through whereas the sidekick is there for more of a comedic effect whether it's with wisecracks, hiding from danger or getting the duo into more trouble than they were in in the first place.

I'm going to pick Barret and Zell. I can see Barret being a no-nonsense kind of guy that gets the job done while Zell opens his mouth and gets them into more trouble. After Barret gets them out of trouble he has to smack Zell around for the trouble he caused.

that would probably work until they meet up With Kingdom hearts Squall/Leon who would try and trade Yuffie for Rinoa, and Vincent would probably accept as Yuffie'd outfits are littler and thusly qualifying her as a better sidekick, ya know like Batman and Robin, Robin has little outfit.

What about Aerith and Sephiroth, but i think that will end badly...

Yuffie's actually pretty good at getting stuff done, But if she teamed up with Rikku i can bet that the outfits they would deem to be appropriate between them would be practically non-exitent.

Barret&Zell thing is definetely the best duo in this thread.

Umaro and Sabin would one cool team because they could use cannoball move a´la Wolverine and Colossus. Umaro tosses Sabin who has his claws ready to strike.

Sephiroth and Edward would work fine together, at least in final
battles where Edward could sing One winged angel and Sephiroth would do the killing Cloud and his friends.

Rude and Selphie. Rude would have to always save Selphie from trouble she gets. Rude would be also very pissed by all the questions Selphie asks.

Leila and Cyan. Cyan and Leila are crushed on each other but can´t be together because Cyan doesn´t approve Leilas ways of robbing people. Together they would kick bad guys asses with daggers and katanas.

Setzer and Yuna. Setzer is Yunas guardian but he has big gambling problem and he would play all Braskas money and Yuna has no idea about this but wonders why they always walk and never take chocobo ride or shoopuf.

YES, i recon that would be incredibly amusin. Dirge of Cerberus made me realise the awesomeness of these two characters, they are the best thing about the game (doc that is), but they are best as a team.
