well I recently saw the into to Diablo III and thought it looked awesome and there is no doubt that I will be purchaseing it when it is released but here is my question *braces for outrage* I have never played Diablo or Diablo II yep I know its shocking but here is my conundrum, do I go out and buy D+DII or should I just wait for DIII to come out and settle with that?
Also Obviously DII (and DI maybe) is an online game my question is this: is there an online fee? cause I dont want to pay for yet another online gameing fee (already have WoW and FFXI).

no there is no fee. its even entirely possible to play single player.
and yes you do go out and buy 1 and 2 simply because theyre amazing games.
and its good for better understanding of the story.

Yeah I just started a new game of D2 a couple days ago, because I'm excited about 3, and it's still awesome. Definitely get that one. 1 is great as well, and they should be extremely cheap these days.

FYI, if anyone's playing D2 again, we have a D2 group going:

Personally, I'm not a hack n' slash fan. And this game is a bit too bloody for my taste, but if you can get past my OCD nitpicking, you'll probably love it.
The first two games don't take that long to get through either

No, if you're playing through on normal difficulty to see what they're like, it's not too hard nor too long. On the other hand, if you want to defeat hell difficulty...

When I was a freshman in high school I played Diablo 1 for hours on end every day. It was awesome.
I have a lot of fond memories playing Daiblo 2 but I've never managed to play all the way through it.
I would play both while waiting for three. Especially because I don't think there is any set release date yet.
