This is a topic about cats. Post pictures of your cats, talk about cat experiences, and ASK A CAT QUESTION. CATS CATS CATS :cat:

Anyways I have two cats at home in Illinois. And three cats here in Vermont. They are... two kittens that are brother and sister and a random barn cat that we got from Bob's dad. The girl kitten never likes to cuddle or sit in my lap but she's my favorite :(

My question is this: Do girl cats become more affectionate when you fix them? Because I want her to have kittens but I don't want to wait for cuddletiem ;_;

this is all three of them (!!)

They don't really get more affectionate, just less playful :(

I have two kitties, one who used to be affectionate (now my mom threw her outside so she is an outside kitty who does not like to be cuddly) and one who never was. They're both fixed and declawed. Poor kitties ;_;

Here is a picture of them that I like to post whenever cats come up:

I was thinking about declawing my cats but cba + no $$.

The barn cat (Mozart) is such a little stinker; he used to always sit by the door to be let out and we never would let him out and we let him out ONCE and he never wants to go out anymore as soon as we make up our mind it'll be good for him. He's really smelly so we figure he can do his business out there. :D

Fixing your girl cat is not going to make them more affectionate if it's not in their personality (catality?). Why do you want your cat to have kittens? Are you planning on keeping all of them?

My cat died. It was old.

Time paradox.

I don't have any cats but my brother has one kitty and she loves me.

My sister is allergic to cats, so we don't have one. I really, really want one, though. They're insane in the most awesome way possible.

We had a cat. It died of old age. :(

I prefer dogs, but cats are cool :cool:. Cats seem like loners so it feels like I'm unloved, but dogs are always like: "LOVE ME!"

I can tell that you took this around Christmas time =P

I have two cats, a kitten, and a random stray that hangs out on my porch. They all hate each other. But they're all soft and cuddly, so it's okay.

For years I was quite badly allergic to animal hair and being in a room with more than one cat would cause my eyes to water and itch and for me to sneeze and awful lot. As such I've never been a huge fan of cats. I don't own one. Always been more of a dog person. I've always preferred the gentle silliness, loyalty and softness of dogs, but I have met some nice cats, while I've been less allergic to them.

I'm very much a dog person. I don't dislike cats, but I would never own one myself. :jess:

Cats are nice, but I always seem to be around ones that don't give me the time of day! I really like the affectionate ones.

My cat is pretty fat, and has trouble cleaning herself so she has a lot of spots of fur (especially on her back) that are all clumped up from lack of cleaning. I've told my parents we need to have her shaved, so maybe the new hair would grow in okay and not give her so many problems, but we haven't done it yet. I've tried putting her on a diet but she just gets so annoying when there's no food in her bowl >:(

She can be sweet, though.

You have no idea. Tweek (the little calico girl kitten) is smurfing insane. She eats ANYTHING and then pukes it up. She looooves eating her own poop. I hate it so freaking much. But she is cute and runs and jumps about and does cute stuff ^_^~~

No, I just want to keep one, but I want to see what the kittens would be like.

Curiousity is not really a good reason to allow your cat to have a litter, in my opinion. There are just too many cats in shelters or that are homeless and this would just add to their numbers.

Anyways, I'll love to have a cat, sadly my family tends to don't like animals, so it's easier this way. Maybe when I have my own house :(.

I've never had the experience nor been able to have it, so I don't see the problem if I can secure homes for them.

Long, long before, seeing as I only live in a house with 4 cats. :p

When people are allergic to cats, it is usually their saliva which causes the reaction. As cats lick themselves a lot, that's why a lot of people think it is the fur.

My housemate at university did animal studies (specifically equine but they touched on other mammals). She has lots of allergies, she is even slightly allergic to horses, but dogs don't affect her.

I heard a couple of cats mewling loudly last night. I was watching Halloween at the time so it kinda freaked me out! :eek:

My parents two cats are pretty old, and both of them have some illness that should have taken them ages ago but hasn't. They are so cute, I wish I could have 10 kittens. :(
