Monster Arena Accomplishments

I'm going to haul my PS2 back upstairs because I feel in the spirit to play some FFX. Or specifically, continue on my quest to beat Monster Arena completely.

I know that I got up to Neslug and gave up, because without Wakka's fancy overdrive that you get by playing all that blitzball, it's nigh impossible to beat. I'm going to check and post all the monsters I've captured and what areas are 100% complete, etc.

Share your stats. Let's see who is the Monster Arena master. ;)

My only accomplishtment in the Monster Arena is defeating Don Tonberry. I've never attempted any of the Species or Original Creations due to the fact that they pretty much all require Break Damage Limit and Auto-Phoenix, as well numerous status ailment proofs and auto-abilities customized to my armour in order to defeat. And I've never felt I had the time to spend hours finding the items needed for the customization.

I dragged out my PS2 for the FFX last-night, mainly just to hear To Zanarkand and see Lulu. I played it up until Besaid before putting it away again, but I might get it out and give the Monster Arena another go.

I finally caught every monster. Now I have to work on capturing 10 of each, and leveling up. So overwhelming!

I got all 10 of every monster in 1 day, and I killed Nemesis the next morning. I have all stats maxed w/ all 7 chars except for 9999 mana and 99999 health, and only like 40 luck, but I still do good. I have everyone's ultimate weapon(Even though I didn't earn Tidus, Wakka, Lulu, and Kimahri's, I customized em.) And every1 has armor w/ break HP limit, HP+30%, auto protect, and auto shell.

I am working on beating as many of the MA creations I can using only Wakka. So far I've beaten four of them, but I haven't played that challenge in quite a while.

10 of every monster is the only thing I haven't done yet. Got stats maxed for five characters except for luck (100-120), ultimate weapons for four of em, but I'm still in need of some more ribbon/auto-haste/auto-protect/defense+20% armors. Only got two of those... I will continue some day.

After learning all the grid, getting weapons powered up, best armor you can think of, and collecting 10 of each enemy. I'll have to say fighting nemisis was the hardest part. I had to cast auto life on all my characters the moment they got revived. After over an hour of that and hitting him here and there he finally went down. I also got to say that money is a problem in this game.

--Maxed all characters' stats to 999 MP, 9999 HP;
--Maxed out sphere grids.
--Mark of Honor or whatever it's called in the Monster Arena for beating Nemesis;
--All Celestial Weapons powered up except Caladbolg. (#%#$@ chocobo race... I can't seem to get below 3.2 seconds.)
--All hidden/alternate cutscenes and 99.999% of minor NPC dialog (I'm sure I've missed something somewhere) while compiling a transcript, after discovering a fan-created "complete FFX script" on the net that was missing scenes/lines I remembered!

I've done everything. For Neslug, when he goes into his shell, just have a character with a maxed out magic stat doublecast Ultima and then copycat it until the shell is destroyed. It's a cakewalk after that.

i found out that the monster arena is the best way to PLVL...DON BERRY...exp trick...and all SUPER MONSTERS drop STAT spheres...or doors to tomorrow, etc...or steal them or w/e...but by far hardest thing in the game...after 120 hrs...never completed it...couldn't get 10 of each...might go back and play a lil...
