This interview is from a few days ago, it's got some interesting things as well as some footage that looks pretty good:
IGN: Pre-E3 2008: The Conduit Update (http://wii.ign.com/articles/887/887708p1.html)

Also, just from a showing today, a two minute developer walkthrough:
Gametrailers.com - The Conduit - E3 2008: Developer Cam Walkthrough (http://www.gametrailers.com/player/36424.html)

The footage from the IGN article is more exciting, imo - it didn't seem like the dev walkthrough really showed that much. The good news, though, is despite lacking a publisher, they've got full funding until the product is done, and at this point they're shifting focus to making awesome multiplayer (single player is mostly done).

I'm still really excited for this game. It looks like it's going to be a blast.

It beats my expectations, but the Run and Gun FPS has never been my type of game. I'll look into it once it's released, but I won't hype it too much.

(Also: You beat me at posting this. :mad2:)

I am so excited for this game. I keep thinking about how pumped I was when Metroid Prime was hitting the Gamecube. I'm hoping this is going to be the same sort of fresh and fun shooter that was. Want want want.

I'm also looking forward to this game... especially if the multiplayer ends up being really good too. I would laugh hysterically if it takes over the whole alien war FPS category that Halo currently holds.

Halo's multi-player. Everyone I know that likes the game, likes it strictly for multi-play and admits the story is lackluster (and blows). I think Gears holds the title you're speaking of. But yes, it would be interesting if a Wii game won that battle lol

Apparently, it'll be using WiiSpeak for Voice Chat during play, according to this. (http://wii.kombo.com/article.php?artid=12329)

Also, IGN (http://media.wii.ign.com/media/142/14248157/vids_1.html) has a lot more videos of the game up now.

I've been kinda 'ho-hum, I'll check this when it comes out' towards this game, but I have new respect for the developers now. They say that the Wii is "worth better games than it's getting right now, (http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=19439)" to which I agree.

Game looks like garbage in the face of all the other FPS's being released on other platforms. Ive always wanted the Wii to show how a FPS can be done on a console but this is not that game.

This game looks great.

Garbage? I don't see anything particularly bad about it, even if it's quite generic. The graphics aren't really as good as people are making them out to be, but that's not why I bought a Wii anyway.

In the face of Killzone 2, its garbage.

Despite High Voltage saying they're trying to make a 360 game on Wii, it's obviously lacking some graphical prowess to do so. I don't think they're necessarily even trying to sell systems with this game (not like the Wii is needing in help in that way anyhow). They're just trying to give Wii owners a solid FPS experience like other consoles have been delivering.

So... I think you're approaching this wrong. I think this is really going to be the kind of FPS a lot of Wii owners (including myself) have been waiting for.
