Lets say our Tea drinking Pilot/Astronaut had a different name, and you had to pick a different character to be bestowed the honour of the name "Cid"

Who would it be?

I think Bugenhagen would have been a worthy Cid

Bugenhagen does indeed seem like a worthy Cid, especially when you note his similarities to the philosopher/scientist/archaeologist Cid from FFV.
