Excluding Firefox, I think I'd be hard pushed to think of any more I use on a regular basis i.e. virtually daily, although there's plenty I use less frequently :p Though I suppose the list changes if we're talking about work computer rather than own computer :p

Well, I have a lot of stuff that's running in the background constantly. But for programs I actively use regularly...
Windows Media Player
Mozilla Thunderbird
uTorrent
Trillian
BSPlayer
WordPerfect
YIM
Gimp
Windows Media Player
Blender
IrfanView, now and forever
Everything else is random since I seem to change out programs a lot. Other stuff in my start list I've only used recently so I know they're not very accurate
Programs I don't have to open that auto-start and don't appearing my start button's list are AIM, MSN, Y!M, and Daemon Tools (For Baldur's Gate games which are whoring themselves in my start list currently)
Everything depends on what I'm doing. FPT, picture editting, pirating, etc.

Firefox would be my #1 program followed closely by Gaim/pidgin. I don't usually have anything else except probably either vlc or media player classic for audio (I listen to about 8-10 hours of trance music a day excluding weekends)
I am ignoring:
- antivirus program (avg, mcafee, depending on pc)
- daemon tools
- windows skin app (style xp)
- spybot search + destroy
- open office
Because those programs load at startup and are up 24/7

I interface with my machine at the kernel level. I have no need for your petty "programs".
