Israeli newspaper publishes Obama's private prayer - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080725/ap_on_re_mi_ea/israel_obama_s_note)

Okay, so to make this clear, this isn't going to be a Obama good McCain bad thread. And it's not going to be "there's a republican/liberal bias in our media" thread either.

No, this is about hypocrisy in the media.

So, this Barack guy, yeah he's running for the presidency. But right now he's going around the world to big countries and giving speeches and their people are liking it.

So, he goes to Jerusalem's Western Wall and write a prayer on a note and finds a crevise in which to put it. Well this one guy took the note and published it in a newspaper. And that is when the http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gifhttp://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gifhttp://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gifhttp://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif hit the fan.

So now Yahoo! (and basically all other papers printing this article) is making it their duty to chastize this Israeli newspaper for their "intrusion of privacy between a dude and God." They talk about how the wall is holy and what-not yada yada destroyed by Romans in 70 AD, we all know the story. :rolleyes2

Then they had this Rabbi guy basically reconfirm that invading privacy is bad and don't take the notes and such, and yeah that's bad.

So, the article would've been perfectly fine, except for one blemish.

THEY THEMSELVES PUBLISHED THE NOTE AS WELL! Am I going crazy? "Yeah, no one was supposed to read it, privacy is important, but just for http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gifhttp://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gifhttp://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gifhttp://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gifs and giggles, here's the note."

It makes me want to rip my hair out when I see this sort of thing happen. What hypocrisies have you witnessed in the media?
