Yuck. It ruins cereal.

Cow's milk isn't that bad, vegans. :rolleyes2

Hahah, I'm not a vegan, just health conscious! I eat chicken just about every day. xD

I tried it at my friend's house and adored it, so I bought some of my own.

my mom went on a "silk" kick several years ago (about when Surge came out incidentally) and I found it (and surge) disgusting. I haven't tried it since. Perhaps if I try to think of it as 'soy drink' instead of 'milk replacement', similar to how I can accept diet pepsi and dr. pepper better than diet coke (or diet rite also), because they're not trying to recreate coke.

soy milk is disgusting, especially silk and it gives me wicked heartburn. i think it's because of my allergy to peanuts. my friend said i should try "rice dream" because it's soymilk that's not made of soy. it's more expensive though, but i would try it as milk makes me feel crappy too. :(

so yeah it might just be that you don't like soybeans.

I didn't actually taste much of a difference, really. xD But I was drinking chocolate soy milk, so, meh.

Soy yogurt sucks though. I don't care if it's soy and organic! It sucked in the end. ;_;

After drinking cow milk for the last 14 years and trying soy milk, I was very disappointed.

I've never tasted it, and I like regular milk a lot.. so.. yeah.

Also, it just doesn't sound appealing to me. Just think about it. Soy. Milk. Those two don't really match. I guess if you're allergic to regular milk and stuff it's a good substitute, but not for me. No thank you.

Soy milk is okay, but it's not to be used as a substitute for milk when cooking. This one time I tried to cook something which asked for a cup of milk, so I used soy milk. The food wasn't as creamy as it should be if I had used milk. :(

I don't like anything that starts with soy. This (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v17/levia/n536606040_124215_6230.jpg) is the face of a person eating a soy hot dog, and it is not a face of a happy person.

I love soy milk and rice milk to drink! So yummy! But it just doesn't work with my cereal the same...so I only have normal milk with cereal now. :D

My mother bought me soy milk to try because regular milk makes me sick. It was not enjoyable, to say the least. :jess:

This is the only acceptable soy milk in my opinion:

End of discussion, Soy chocolate milk is so nice, I prefer this to Yazoo or any other "bottled" milkshakes.

Soy milk makes me depressed because I enjoy it immensely, but I can't drink it because I am kind of allergic and it makes my throat feel like it is going to close. *very sadd

YES :kaoclove:

I love soy-based products, they're nomable. Regular milk is just fine too, though.

Using soy as a substitue for real milk in uncooked food tastes disgusting (ie putting it in cereal). However I like it as a drink on its own. (Only the sweetened stuff though, i havent had plain soy milk in ages.

I'm not crazy about it in cereal, but it's delightful in coffee.

I might try that chocolate soy milk...

I did go through a phase in university where I used soy milk. Then I realised it tasted like crap when I had it on cereal which wasn't Weetos, which hid the gross taste, obviously.

Soymilk is awesome and I use it most regularly for cocoa, cereal, baking, and feeding my pottedplants :D

That's because it is. It's soybeans, processed soybeans. Same is true of most food products however as the definition of processing is rather loose. I kinda know what you mean however. Except, I think what you had wasn't Soy Milk but rather Soylent Milk. Soylent Milk is people. :p

I share these sentiments mostly, I can drink it on its own, dependent on the exact kind. However as a milk substitute, it has way too watery of a texture. It's also a lot sweeter then milk, though I must admit I wasn't even aware of unsweetened soy milk.

By the way, I feel the need to say this topic vaguely reminds me of Lindblum, though probably not in the way you guys are thinking...
