Wait a sec, what? Are we talking about a new Bright Eyes album here, or Cassadaga, the most recent one? o_O

No, I'm talking about Conor Oberst's new solo project. Well, it's not really new but he hasn't done any solo work in like many many years. Check it out it just came out today

Ah! I hadn't heard anything about it!

*goes to check it out*

EDIT: It's okay. There are some good songs and some songs that I don't care for at all. Maybe I'm so used to stuff like I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning and Fevers and Mirrors that anything new sounds out-of-place.

Mmmm I enjoy it, but not gonna lie I'm Wide Awake...is a much much better album, but it's something kind of different for him.

I'm looking forward to hearing this, I love his work with Bright Eyes (though Cassadaga was a bit of a let-down for me) and he's a great songwriter.

Lifted is my favourite Bright Eyes album.

Incredibly mediocre album, but better than that AWFUL Cassadaga.

Cassadaga was incredibly dissapointing. I think there is one song I like on that entire album.I think the solo album is a little better than mediocore but that's just my opinion

Only listened to it once so far. I don't think I could ever fall in love with it, but there were a couple of very nice tracks on there (Lenders In The Temple, I Don't Want To Die (In The Hospital) and a few more that I think I'll like once I'm more familiar with them. I was hoping it'd be another Wide Awake, but I guess that was a bit of a long shot.
