how many bookshelves would you estimate are in your home?

Do you have one in every room?

Do you have books in every room? (including the kitchen, the bathroom, etc etc)

How many books would you say you have?

(you can count magazines if you are lame like that)

Too many. Most of our books are stored away in cupboards because we have so many and not enough bookshelves.

5? Yes, 5. Half of which are mine.

Just about, there are 2 in the living/dining area, one in my room, one in my brother's room, and one in my parents' room.

Yes, every room except for our downstairs office and spare bedroom.

I defined a row of books one deep about 3ft across as a single shelf, and I counted 30 of those. I then defined the average book as having a 1" spine, so 30 shelves is easily a thousand books after a cursory examination of the house. There's more upstairs I think, too.

as for unit bookshelves, as in the tall amalgation of several shelves, there's about seven

Three in my bedroom, but I have enough for probably another two shelves lying on top of the books on those shelves. Plus some more put away in my wardrobe. Easily have over a hundred books.

Four in my apartment. Two in the living room, one in my bedroom, and one in a box at the top of the stairs. :p

I do not want to attempt to count books. Several hundred.

There's a bookshelf in every room except the kitchen, and two bookshelves in my room. I have no idea how many books I have.

Me and Daniel just got a bookcase for the spare room it's about as tall as Daniel. It's holding around 115 books. :)

0. PDF is king.

Realistically, I have several bible/bible study books, psychological study books, mathematical theory books, and nerdy crap of the like, but they are all on a shelf, which holds books, but is a far cry from a book shelf. By that, I mean the shelves across the top of my spare closets. ( I have 9 closets to my self, four in my room alone.) I feel so shelf-ish. geddit?

There are no bookshelves in my new flat, but the only thing I'd have to put on them are my law books, which completely ruined reading as a hobby for me by the way.

I geuss I have two in my room, but that's probably it for the whole house. My Mum reads crap loads of books but I have no idea where she stores them. I have this one cabinet in my cupboard and it's so full of books and school books and folders etc that I don't dare move any of it as they'll all go everywhere ;o

I recently moved and forced myself to give over 100 books to a charity shop, I still own over 100 books easily (not counting mags) and buy more pretty much every week or so.

I have a hundred babysitter club and little sister books, easily. Just sayin'.

(that's the two put together, not 100 of each, sheesh, did you take me for some kind of freak?)

There are bookshelves all over the house. I cba to count how many, but I have two of them myself.

I don't have that many books, though - maybe around 50-100. Most of my bookshelf space is filled with DVDs.

The number of shelves (or rather: places) I use for storing books is four.

My primary bookshelf, which we will call Bookshelf A, or simply A, resides in my living room and has 99 books.

The bookshelf by my computer has eight (8) books. This is Bookshelf B.

Four (4) books are lying on the window sill next to my bed, Place C.

In my kitchen, two (2) books stand alone on the shelf we will call D.

From this we can conclude that:

I have books (and therefore: bookshelves) in all rooms but the bathroom and the vestibule
The total amount of books in my house is 113
Bookshelf A, B and C together contains 111 books
The amount of books in the minor bookshelves B, C and D is 14, which is only one (1) away from 13. Lucky me!
