A different kind of "versus" thread for you.
NB: The links in this thread may lead to spoilers. Read with care.
Captain Jack Harkness (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Harkness), of Doctor Who and (less notably) Torchwood fame; and Captain Jack Sparrow (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Sparrow), known of course for the Pirates of the Caribbean films. Two rather unique men, similar in some ways but radically different in others.
Like I say, this isn't a "versus" thread in the traditional sense. In a fight between these two, there's no question that Jack Harkness would come out on top, what with him being virtually immortal, his access to both modern and futuristic weapons, and him not being an alcoholic lunatic like Sparrow.
So, the question is really who do you prefer, and why?
My allegiances are pretty clear at this stage, and it's Harkness all the way. A fascinating character with a mysterious and often twisted back-story; a charmer and an enigma, a warrior hero and a one-time crook. Keeps fine company (when he's with the Doctor and his companions) and has an awesome coat. The main reason I'm still watching Torchwood, which only recently began screening in my country.
How about you?
