I've noticed a sharp increase of people adding "Yeah, I went there!" or some variation in posts lately.

What trends or fads have you noticed at EoFF lately?

I've gotten so many PM requests recently from people to see pictures of my wiener. It's a little weird, but I like to think of myself as a generous kind of guy.

I was going to put a picture of a hot dog and say "Yeah, I went there!", but I decided it may be best if I didnt so Flying Mullet could keep his sanity.

That's a pretty stupid fad. Not unlike most fads actually.

do you think they stem from me saying it was green and has little tentacles on it in IRC last night?

the only fads I've noticed is that I've taken to saying um too much. I'm trying to quit.

I tend to say "I went there" when I've actually gone no where at all and so it's simply a rather lame joke on my part.

Post here if you think PG rules.

Prepare to see a fad I've noticed for years.

I think I might have started that fad. Yams post only furthers the belief.

I don't say "I went there," but my self-deprecating humor causes me to say "I've been there" when someone mentions a overly disgusting situation. :/

I prefer - Oh no he/she di'nt
But i can never say it right

I say we put a "went there" filter.

I prefer - Oh no he/she di'nt

That sounds good regardless of sex. "OH no he she di'nt!"

Sometimes I say "Ooh lordy" à la big black lady or its sibling "ooh child!" I also like to throw in a "Bitch, please!" every so often.

I wasn't aware those were a fad, I thought they were a cancer that afflicts these forums.

"Yeah I went there" is sometimes a comedic way of acknowledging that you've said something some might consider risky, risqué or politically incorrect; more more often, people just use it as an excuse to say something disgusting, profane, or blatantly offensive.

Example:

"Hi guys, could I get your opinion on something? I'm having real difficulty getting a job, no-one wants to hire me even though I'm good. Why do you think this is?"

"Well, obviously it's because you're black/a woman/totally gay - YEAH I WENT THERE, HURR HURR HURR"

I would like to add that I don't think new users are inherently stupid. xP There's a difference between a newb and a n00b. :P

Trust me. I think I could list a few names of who I think are n00bs and I'm sure my list would match yours. :p

Hur's. Fantastic when used properly. But I've noticed other people than those here who just rape it of all dignity and use. Poor hur. :(

I have noticed the topics in all the different FF games are the exact same, but they just change it for that particular game. (i.e. "Is FF_ overrated?" , "FF_ Riddles" , "blah blah blah something about a FF_ remake")
