Changes for the "New" consoles.

Well on the subject of 'General' Final Fantasy, Well as per usual - i was wondering, The PSone classics such as VI,VII,VIII and IX - Although Classics, which one would you prefer to be re-made, on a later console, such as the PS3 or Xbox 360°.
The Cutscenes wouldn't need to change, or would they!? - But all in all the storyline 'Has' to stay the same! Only graphical and side mission alterations could be added, or could other stuff be changed/added?
I know alot of you loved the earlier (classic PSone) FF's as they were brilliant, I love them to can't fault them for the time they were made. i was just wondering thats all, like if they re-made VIII would they have to put "parental Advisory" on the certificate, becuase characters such 'Sacred' (The GF (Brothers)), Says "B*st*rds" (thought it best to star some out :P )
Whats your thoughts on this?, Rack you brains on this one it's a disscusion so no need for a poll, State the game you prefer to be re-made on a later console and why you would like it to be, Chat amongst your selves. we all have different opinions maybe someone help you come up with ideas of changes that would need to be made!? like Certificates or the Graphical clothes (Going by the Advent children movie (Yes you cloud....)).

I'm going to start off by playing technical bastard and point out that Final Fantasy VI is a SNES game, not a PSOne game.

Of Final Fantasy VII, VIII and IX, I would prefer either VII or IX as I enjoyed those games. VIII didn't do much for me so I wouldn't care either way if it was redone or not.

I have Final Fantasy I, II and IV on the PSOne as well, but that doesn't make them PSOne games. :p

I'd like IX remade for PS3. It's the best of the PSone era, so... And I loved it's music and story.

And I'll add that I would love a III, IV and V remake on PS3 or some other TV-console (but NOT the Wii). That would make me even more happy than an IX remake on PS3.

VII. VII has the potential to sell me a console. It sold me a PSone, it could someday sell me a PS3 or whatever.

To your second question, I would like to see V. then II. those are my top3.

Personally I'd like them to put out a compilation of VII, VIII, and IX all remade for PS2 specs, all on one Blu-Ray for the PS3.

I think the two I'd personally like to see remade are VI and IX. I haven't played either of them, and would like to. However, VI I cannot play when it looks like it does, and IX is nearly impossible to get hold of (hopefully it gets released on PSN).

The problem is that remakes are contentious issues. Do you alter the storylines? Do you tweak the battle systems? Do you add extra content? Because, if you don't do enough, people will complain that it's just cashing in. And if you do too much, people say its not like the original. So it's really not a happy situation.

Take the Star Wars updates. Wasn't there a huge outcry because they altered when Han Solo shot?

I don't think 7 is worth re make. it was fine as it was and it's a had to many sequels to it on the newish... consoles anyway.... you get to see the graphic. of advent children in the games..

Graphics in VIII are already great.
Compare the graphics of VIII (Video) and XIII (Game) and it's pretty much the same, except that FFXIII is the actual game without CG videos and played in real time (PS3).

Im tempted to say FFIX, but I dont really think it needs a remake. Still, if they did one it'd be really cool. I would just be so scared that they would mess it up.

I'd like to see FFVI remade, so I could spite the community when I rub their noses in the fact that it was really nothing spectacular, and all it has is 2d nostalgia.

Personally, I'd like to see FFVII remade, because it has 3d nostalgia. xD

VI is just an awesome game... eriod. Nostalgia has nothing to do with it for me (it was one of the last ones I played, besides II and XII)

Anyway, none of the psone era games need a remake for the PS3. That being said, each game needs only one port (direct, not a remake) imo. I have a comulsive need to own one of every FF for a console and one of every FF for a handheld. Of course, that's never going to happen, but still. *longs to see a PSP port of VII, IX, X, or XII*

Actually, I'd love to see FF1 remade too. Less Ogre slaying please.
