I thought that the series is quite nice and KHII seemed just a tad bit darker than the original. With KHIII I would like to see a full transition into the serious and darkness. Doesn't Goofy have a son and also I believe Disney never explained what happened to Max's mother? He was never introduced in the series, but I think it would be great if they went in deep into Goofy's mind and made him go into a flashback on his wife's death and he had to raise Max on his own. They could also go into great detail in why Mickey and Donald don't have children yet while Goofy does.

You know why Mickey doesn't have any children don't you? Mickey always wanted to have children, but Minnie unfortunately can't because of her fertility disability and Max's mother died of AIDS because of a poor blood transfusion after a car accident.

Quite possibly the worst idea ever. That seems harsh, but Disney is Disney. Let it be. If you want to shift the focus to a darker tone (something I'm okay with), I think that would involve increasing the number of original worlds in comparison to Disney ones and placing a greater emphasis on original characters as opposed to the Disney ones (which is what KH2 began to do and why I think you're perceiving it as "darker").

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't necessarily mean by making the Disney characters darker, I should have said they should expand on the background on these characters. I know that Donald has a wife too, he probably doesn't have a kid because he regrets marrying Daisy in the first because she be bugging him too much and if he has a kid by her, he couldn't get himself out of the situation.

No, I'm placing my bets on an undead Xehanort. So far, we've fought the darkness of the Heart, the shell of his Body, and now all we need is the manifestation of the Soul. You'll fight with three heroes in control of the two opposing races. One will be a Heartless with increased attack speed, and two Nobodies, one who hides in the shadows and bends Light, and the other that manipulates others, only to bring out unstoppable rage.

Although so far, I think I only managed to describe the final Protoss scenario of Starcraft. Oops.
