PS3 pad on my PC

ok so I have pluged in my PS3 pad into my PC and it detects it and everything, iv gone into game controlers and it says OK but it wont let me use it on any of my games, and the 1 2 3 4 on the top of the pad keeps flashing... not sure if that makes any difference.

I was hopeing to use it on ePSXe any ideas how I can get it to work?
