Lets see. Is CC a prequel to FF7? Yes, yes it is. Is the story continued in FF7? Yes, yes it is. Is it possible that its just saying the story will be continued or has already been continued in FF7? Oh, perhaps.

First of all: this would have been all over the news and would be well-known in geek circles.

Second of all, it appears to take place in Japan, due to the Japanese text on the papers under it. Now, if this WAS real, why would this person have a copy with an ESRB label, which is used in North America (not sure if it's used in PAL regions)? In Japan, they use the CERO rating system.

Common sense: it works wonders.

Furthermore, if such a concept was true, Square-Enix would not just release it without notifying us way ahead of time, so they can push the release date back to 2015.

For future reference: if Square-Enix does not formally announce a remake, there is NO goddamn remake. The cake remake is a lie. QED.

As I think there might be some (loads of) evidence to suggest that this might be fake, I'd like to take this opportunity to say that I think it is quite a nice case, but I like the white background with the logo arts that have always come with the PAL games.
