I'd say I prefer sex, but I've never had sex so that won't work either. Help me out here, erikramza.

Its delicious if yo put Sharp Chedder on it instead of the seasoning. ^_^

no, parmesean cheese or mozzerella. you put the flavor in as your cooking it, so its like cheezy beef or chicken.... or cheesey oriental XD. i lub me some raman noodles, but im in college, and thats like all i eat (that, and sunchips *munches some harvest chedder as we speak*) so im kinda burned out. plus i grew up on them. lol

I hate mixing the Cheese with flavoring. The two do not mix.

And Chedder is the superior cheese.

tapatio with the flavoring!
must try cheese... have not.

RIGHT NOW.

NeoTifa

i disagree. you cook the noodles with the flavoring so the flavor soaks into the noodles. then when theyre done, you drain them and add cheese. (mozz or parm!!!!! sharp cheddar makes me vomit!!!!)

oh, wait, yes. but i like the thinnest noodles possible. another real good way to have raman is fried. like stir fried. you get a can of mixed chinese veggies, chop some carrots, and pull out some frozen peas from the freezer. put like a capful of oil in a wok or frying pan until water dances across the pan. pour veggies in pan and stir fry until slightly brown. remove veggies and refresh the oil. when oil is hot, break up the raman in the pan, pour half the amount of water in there, the flavoring, a tblsp of soy sauce or two, and a tblsp of teriyaki sauce. stirfry until noodles are tender. add the veggies back and toss in another sprinkle or two of soy sauce until all is mixed. enjoy. ^_^ es muy delicioso (sp?)

Maruchan is better. I find my Top Ramen noodles get too soggy.

Top Ramen with only the provided seasonings is bland and boring. Add some of your own spices and sauces, maybe a few vegetables and an assortment of other delicious things and you have a good meal.

While true, I cannot find quality udon noodles I can microwave in three minutes.

Well, I hope that there comes a time when my peers view ramen as a simple snack rather than a staple food source. Maybe in a few years?

NeoTifa
09-24-2008, 06:37 PM
never. if youre in college, it is a staple, and only food source ^^

Perhaps, if they get a steady job.

I ate Ramen a lot when my income (or lack thereof) prevented me from having much better on a daily basis.

Then I moved to pasta, the next cheapest thing (well Rice is cheaper than both but I can't eat that every day)

Brown rice, lentils, bacon, liver and onions. I would quite happily live on that.

putting seasoning in at any time before the end is just asking for it to get washed down the drain

kikimm

I grew up with it and I still love it and get very intense cravings for it every few months. :P But it's really not something I want to eat every day again.

How are you!

NeoTifa

was this before my time?

and the point, rubah, is to soak the subtle flavoring into the noodles themselves so it has slight chicken or beef flavor with the cheese.

I am not a college student anymore. I eat real food. BROCOLI FTW!

I could never tell the difference between putting the flavor packet in beforehand or when it was done like it says to. I have tried both, but they seem exactly the same to me. :|

I haven't had it since. It's been about a month :p

Ugh. My roommates and I are all broke right now, so damn near the only thing we have is ramen. A cabinet full of the stuff. Once the finances get sorted out, it's going on the list of things I am never eating again. Along with fake crab and Funyuns. Albeit for very different reasons.

Araciel

So long as you don't EAT the ramen, sure.
