Favorite beers for drinking to get fucked up, and favorite beers for flavor plz.

Getting fucked up beer.

211 Steel Reserve at twice the standard domestic alcohol percentage (in cali) is alright. Everyone hates the flavor of it, but I never thought it was too terrible, especially considering the price of it.

Delicious tasting beer.

Lately it's been Stella Artois. Again, for as delicious as I think it is, no one around me seems to stand the taste (then again I don't mind 211..). It's a little bit expensave (import), but I think the money goes to a good cause.

Thirsty Beaver. For flavour. I don't drink to get smurfed up. :cat:

You have to get the real stuf from continental Europe. Otherwise, it tastes like crap, e.g. the rubbish they brew here in Burton-Upon-Trent. Luckily, I live fairly far south in England, so hopping across the channel and getting booze from France isn't too hard. I've basically come to the conclusion that the only good lagers are brewed in continental Europe. We do the best bitters in the world though.

Beer sucks.

I'm a Liquor guy, and I drink mostly for the reason Leeza does. It tastes Goood.~

I like Triple Sec, Peppermint Shnapps, and Whiskey myself. :p

The taste of beer makes me gag. Corona wasn't so bad, granted I've only had a little bit of that, but when Hux bought us some Budd for a bit of hotel drinking, I was gagging so hard that I just tried to get the first beer down as fast as possible. Didn't end up having more after that, because between the exhaustion of days of walking literally all day around cities and campus plus a bit of tipsy drowsiness, I fell asleep. xDDD He had to help me get changed and brush my teeth and stuff before he let me sleep because I'd be like "... zzzzzzzzz" after a few seconds and walk into walls and stuff. Funny story, that. How embarrassing.

I much prefer wine coolers. I enjoy drinks I can actually get down without having to chug iced tea after because of the awful taste. :Oo:

I prefer IPA's, Pale Ales and Stouts for the most part...

Need to get to the sates to score some IPA'S Soon

And if you want a good Belgium brew try Chimay, Rochefort, Westerleven etc... Harder to get but worth it imho.

MMMM Beer!

I generally cannot stand the taste of beer, but there were a few Swedish ones that I tried while there that weren't actually too bad. Can't remember the names of them, though.

Beer is nasty.

Everytime someone tells me, "dude, you'll like this beer, it's SO good" it ends up tasting http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gifhttp://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gifhttp://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gifhttp://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gifty like all the other beers I've tasted. I've sampled a good variety of beers because a lot of my friends really enjoy beer, but I have never ever liked a single one. Sometimes it makes me feel left out, because I like the idea of enjoying a few beers with friends but I just can't force myself to drink something that is so damn heinous.

Years of forcing that crap down my throat has given me an immunity to Budweiser.

I still prefer spirits and mixed drinks. Oh and wine.

Even though I'm under the age, I don't have a desire to drink when I am 21.

Getting drunk just doesn't seem pleasant to me. Maybe it's just having a family with alcoholic relatives or some personal guilt I have, but I don't want to drink. Ever.

That's because your weird-ass American Bud tastes like http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gifhttp://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gifhttp://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gifhttp://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif. The Bud in England is much nicer.

I prefer vodka for getting smashed and vodka for flavor. Okay, flavor is generous - sensation might be more appropriate.

erikramza

None. Beer sucks and is for lightweight pansies.

I'm a real lady, I drink liquor.

rofl. Try Arrogant Bastard. Then see how lightweight and pansy beer is.
Liqour is more of a stay home and drink, or just have a couple shots when you go out.
Beer, to me and where I've been, anyways, is far more social. How is that pansy?

im a huge beer guy :D
to just get muffed up we drink budweiser actually for the price it has the best taste.

for flavor the whole rogue line is wonderful it comes out of micro usa oregon but you can find it anywhere my fav from them is the dead guy ale or the hazlenut (doesnt taste like you would think but get it off the tap or no goods!)

And how can Bud be diffrent in england its the same recipe i dont want to start a fight here but they are under contract that no one can change thier recipe not even the new company can do that.

I don't have any problems with beer (I guess I'd say my favorite is Budweiser, not Light), but I much prefer liquor. Which is why I'm excited about the Jägerbombs that I will consume sometime tomorrow.

Becuase they don't import the ingredients from the US, they're grown/produced in this country, and that actually makes quite a bit of difference to the flavour. See my rant about Stella Artois above.

Agree, I find the rogue line great.. I like the dead Guy and Juniper...

Remember when you have a beer (single) you are not going to get drunk... and if you do, please stay away from all forms of alcohol.
Also, if you are basing your beer experience off of Bud, Coors, Miller etc... please go out and try a craft beer.. Might change your mind, might not?

Cheers!

I think I'll grab some Southern Tier tonight

I'm drinking a Guinness right now. I'm sad to say that the flavor and I don't get along. Carbombs are delicious though.

Heineken is the best tasting imho, shame it's so expensive and not all the bars round here stock it. Second choice is Stella, after that I step down to cheap Carling. I don't drink spirits much

You have never tasted a good Dutch or Belgian beer if you dare say that. :p

Heineken is the worst tasting brand beer in the netherlands.. where it is actually fabricated. You guys even have Heineken light. :screwy:

We don't even drink the beer regular! xD

Seriously, try a Hoogaarden, Leffe or Duvel. These aren't the best beers, not by far, but it's all you guys have in Dutch and Belgian beer.

I smurfing LOVE Arrogant Bastard.

I'm generally a cheap date and will be content with Coors Light or Budweiser. Killian's Irish Red is my "goin' out" beer.

I do like vodka though. Just middle-shelf and above however. I've had many a bad night with old Vladdy though.

I agree completely with this Duvel is pretty pricey depending on where you are at but it is very good and you get to drink it out of something diffrent than a pint glass then girls will like you.

No I haven't Bunny, maybe I'll try Baiju one day. I just can't think of vodka or it's taste without feeling sick. I can't even drink mocha flavored energy drinks anymore because that's what I mixed it with the time I got carried away. I'm a beer person until further notice.

Stella is always my first option when it comes to beer. Sometimes if I've down in life and want to exacerbate that I'll drink super-lagers such as Kestrel. At which point I may as well take myself one step lower and start sleeping on the street.

Cz

I'd rather wine or spirits than beer, but when it's for a party or something I don't want to be a jerk, so I'll drink whatever beer's there. Corona's quite nice, as is Budweiser Budvar, but seeing as how I'm not drinking for the taste I'll tolerate pretty much anything. In a pub I'll normally go for Guinness, because it's good stuff and I don't feel lame when I'm ordering it.

I can't say anything bad about MGD, because the one time I had it, I felt like I was drinking water. NO FLAVOUR! However, I do drink Steelback Draught, Steelback Lager and Steelback Tiverton Dark (with red meat of course :) )...Steelback Lager tastes amazing and has NO aftertaste whatsoever, it's beautiful. The Tiverton Dark Lager is easier to drink than Guinness, and it tastes great too.

I loove vodka xD it doesn't like me though, as every single time I've ever drunken it I've been curled over a toilet in the next hour, bad times. I used to like rum, but not so much now, I used to drink that when I was a hardcore 14 year old. Vodka or malibu now that I'm 16.

I like cider and I think I tried some lad's beer once, it was niice, no idea what it was though, but I was drunk so I couldn't really taste anything.
