Because, dammit, you lost the remote! :mad2:

Ooh, that pisses me off so much. So now I have to get up to change the channel or volume until this remote shows up again.

Advice for finding the remote, and then subsequently, keeping the remote when I find it? Does losing the remote anger you? What other little things drive you into a madman crazy state?

Look on top of the TV or in the kitchen. I can't count the times I've walked into the kitchen with the remote and left it there.

I've forgotten the remote in the refrigerator before.

I'm not kidding.

I've done that before too. I lose my remote in the depths of my blankets of my bed all the time and it usually takes forever to find. I hate it :( I am thinking about taping a little beeper to it with a remote activation thinger like my phone because that would be convenient.

Floor, desk, nightstand, bed sheets, trash can, kitchen, in front of the TV.

In that order. And yes, it does piss me off. I quite literally can't turn off the TV without it; the power buttons have long since been destroyed.

My sister lost the remote (but won't own up to it), so if someone presses the wrong button on the TV we'll need to go out and buy a new one. >(

I have a rule in the house. All the remotes need to be lined up neatly on the coffee table so as not to lose them. Of course, my brother (And Andrew when he was my roommate as well) ignores this rule and they can end up pretty much anywhere. But, since I replaced the couch with a futon, it becomes hard for the remotes to get lost in it.

oh yeah, we stopped losing the remotes in teh couch cushions after three things happened
1) we got new couches that didn't open to the floor (we had a fold out sectional/bed thing before)
2) we got larger remotes
3) my sister got us a lazy susan for our remotes for christmas, so they each had their own little hold.

Tip: It'll be in the last place you look.

I don't lose remotes because I'm not dumb.

I used to lose them all the time, but I'd 'lose' them in the most obvious places. I'd assume I misplaced it, but in reality, it was right where it should have been.

I once lost the remote and it was in my hand all along. Have you checked your hands? :p

I do this too, even sometimes with my wallet when I'm paying for something.
