Then it is two thousand nine for you now! Happy Rosh Hashanah I suppose.

For me it just means a Tuesday off >:)

Topic: Did you get days off for things you didn't celebrate? What was your favorite things to do with them?

Is the Jewish calendar year the same as the Gregorian calendar year?

I would assume not as the gregorian years are based off the year christ was born

Then it is two thousand nine for you now!

Add about 3759 years and you've got a more realistic number.

Yes. I get an entire week for this one holiday that people obsess about at the end of the year. Can't remember the name for the life of me, but apparently, they advertise it well into mid-September where I live. Odd, really.

there was some puzzle about three kids all being born in the same year in the same section of a city where they were all very outgoing and active but they never met one another and the reason why was because they lived in jerusalem or somewhere and used three different calendars.

<del>I get days off for MLKJr day</del> wait, that was bad. But it is true that the first year I ever got off to celebrate the civil rights movement was last year.

I got Monday through yesterday off for Rosh Hashanah and then I get half of Wednesday, and all of Thursday and Friday off next week for Yom Kippur. I also got Passover off last year, but I think it falls on Easter this year.

I love getting other people's holidays off. ^_^

I don't get days off for Jewish holidays anymore because apparently liberal art colleges don't believe in Jews. I only get Thanksiving and Christmas off.
