On topic: I would charge "experts" for treason for every declaring the world could live on credit. It is a basic economic farce.

I would then make each politician (excluding myself) bend over, and form lines of people all waiting to wiled one eleven foot pole, and charge 5 bucks a jab. The economy would be fixed, I would then close down, or illegalize, all lines of credit that extend beyond ten years of amortization. Investments and ballooning are for noobs. Straight up honest bonds are more correct, in terms of fairness to the economy, end consumer, and traders (unlike stock traiters).

If I were President I would distribute free, yes free copies of Final Fantasy IX to every American. What is more, I would ammend the constitution, ensuring that every American has the right to a basic round of Final Fantasy IX at least once per day.

I would then turn America into an absolute Theocracy, with Adelbert Steiner as its ruler. Those who worship him will receive reduced tax rates and health care. Those who defy him will be tortured and then killed in Guantanamo bay.


In essence I would be a very fair and kind ruler.

:edit2: And since there's actually a thread topic here... if I were president, I'd be rather boring and push for reasonably moderate policies. Neither extremely liberal nor extremely conservative. Aiming for a free, yet safe society with just enough regulation and support to keep things working well without making government too intrusive or over-sized.
