I wouldn't say I trust other people's opinions equally, but I don't dismiss what they have to say, either. I'd listen to what someone close to me has to say, but that doesn't mean I'll act upon it. I'm rather bullheaded.

Me and my friend always make the mistake of getting too much alcohol for parties or whatever, we always say that just the vodka will do, but we fall into old habits and later on buy some malibu and get so drunk we can hardly stand. As for people's advice, I take it for what it's worth. I will almost always test what they say for myself, if it's something testable. If it's something science-based, I will confer with my online sauces and see if they correlate toward the same thing.
