Hooray! Today is Mole Day!

Between 6:02 AM and 6:02 PM on October 23, we celebrate the existence of this number which is the number of particles in a mole. Not a blind ground-burrowing animal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mole), you twits! A mole (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mole_(unit))!

How are you celebrating Mole Day?

Do you like arbitrary made-up holidays? I sure do!

the first member to get a mole of posts should get a reward.

Last year we celebrated mole day by getting gum thrown at us in Chemistry lecture.

How many moles does a mole have?

A lot. WOULDN'T IT BE CRAZY IF A MOLE CONTAINED A MOLE OF MOLES?

Why was the informant's balloon empty of helium?

The mole leaked them.

I had to do a science report on that asshole.

Smurf him. :mad2:

Avogadro's number was nice because it was easy. No one informed me today was mole day though.

My Chemistry teacher doesn't mind moles. But he's terrified of the kilomole.

You should KNOW.

6:02 on 10/23, get it? Like how Pi Day is March 14th? 3/14? Tell me this is getting through and is making sense to you.

My mole day ends in 10 minutes. :(

I get it, but I'm too lazy to figure these things out.

Whoo, mole day.

Moles are pretty cool, but I'm finding this difficult to get excited about :(

I wrote '10 23' on the table in materials to convey the fact that it was mole day to my friend.

then I read a lj post by a chemist celebrating it.

I've also inhaled several mol of O and N and consumed several mol of C.

My chemistry teacher at school had a speed impediment and couldn't pronounce "Avogadro's number", so it came out as "Avocado's number" every time. :p

I wanna watch Quantum of Solace.

Rumour has it that when Daniel Craig steps out he goes 'The name's Bond. Covalent Bond.'

My Chemestry teacher set an almond of fire and watched it burn for a few minutes.

I think he was a pyro. :(
