He flirts with Terra whenever she first arrives at Figaro Castle, then never shows interest again for the remainder of the game. What the hell? Was Edgar lying when he told Terra that he's interested in her, or did that initial spark last but a whole thirty seconds? I hate Edgar based on this introduction scene alone... how can Terra ever learn about love if she encounters so many insincere men?

I think he shows affection to other girls too. Maybe he thought Terra wasn't into him.

He does seem put off by her when she doesn't enjoy his advances when they first meet, so it's entirely possible he chalks it up to bad luck and moves on.

Considering how completely uninterested she was, I don't think she minds that he quit.

He never really carries out anything. He is just a flirter, he doesnt get serious. So harmless questions and flirting like with Terra is excusable. And yes it is really easy to give up when they seem uninterested. In addition, does he ever make a pass at Celes? Does this mean that she is ugly as crap because he keeps so many different women around?

Yes during the ending, he does that silly finger wagging thing on the airship implying he's flirting or something then when hes facing the other way she walks to the other side of the airship and he gets rejected.

Edgar hits every women , even comatose/dead Rachel while Locke and that grazy herb man are gone. If he was in Dissidia I wouldnīt wonder if he tried to hit Ultimecia, Cloud of Darkness, Cosmos.

I think he was just trying to be friendly to Terra, and tried to make her feel safe inside Figaro castle. I donīt think trying to hit someone is the best way to do it but it is Edgarīs nature. Hey even great king and machinist must have his weakness.

I feel that Edgar is the type to not put much weight in those initial conversations. I think that, to him, flirting with women is not that big of a deal as he does flirt with numerous characters on multiple occasions without actually pursuing anything serious.
