Since dad is at work, we're having a election night party!

We've got pizza ordered and the TV is on CNN. Who else is watching the election tonight?

CNN so far predicts McCain with a 5 vote lead at 8 with Kentucky versus Obama's 3 Vermont votes.

Election night discussion!

I'm going to celebrate by rooting for my candidate and praying to God (aka Unne) that Obama doesn't make it as prez.

Then again with the Black Panthers in Pennsylvania threatening people with weapons if they don't vote Obama, we might just get Obama as prez.

Ho snap :(

I went to an election party for the Canadian election. NDP one in my riding, and the local office's celebration party was right next door to the apartment our party was at. It was in some convenience store / bar hybrid (weird eh?). They also had hookahs. Beer was had by all.

McCain was robbed and now America is going to end up at war with North Korea and Iran and China. REDNECKS!!!! :irked: Stupid stupid stupid!

I dunno, it looked sort of fun when people did this in '04 when Bush won, so I figured I'd give it a shot. It's not as satisfying as I thought it would be, though. :(

Alright guys, I know you guys don't get this from me much but I just have to say this. You know, I'm just thinking about so many things right now that's obviously on everyone's minds. But the very magnitude of today is so overwhelming. I'm watching T.V and seeing all of these people and looking at expression and tears, I really had to go outside to get some fresh air. And as I looked up at the star, I notice something. My world actually change. And just thinking about it it's just...I'm gonna cry and I'm so speechless...

I am too. I can't believe it's even all that close for us. A lot of people in my town voted for Obama just because they didn't want a woman in a position of power, though :[ It may have worked in my favor, but it did for the wrong reasons.

Anyway, yay Obama. I am very happy. My stuffed animals and I are throwing a big tea party right now.

I put in for the Assisted Suicide bill as well, I'm glad to see it passed. I'm very much a "you should have a right to it" kind of guy, so long as you aren't hurting other people.

Once Ohio went Obama, I pretty much knew where this one was going. Obama was sitting at 206, I believe, and California, Oregon, Washington and Hawaii had not closed the polls. I've been driving around all night reporting for my election coverage class, but it was a pretty fun election.

I'm still undecided about whether I like him or not. Fingers crossed that assassination attempts won't be happening. Still, if he doesn't screw it up as royally as Bush did, at the least, I'll be happy. Also clearly black guy in whitehouse = win, no matter if he isn't the bestest evar.

What's the point of the whole thing if we all just forget about it? Some people didn't just support a Presidential Candidate because of things that had no effect on them what-so-ever. The issues we talk about aren't just made up. They influence many lives right now, and it's time to see if Obama being president will actually help people.
