An FF-Themed Arcade?

Okay.

Um, my cousin and I were talking about a possible arcade with Final Fantasy as its theme. I know the idea seems extremely far fetched because there are no arcade games in the Final Fantasy series. But my cousin and I really like Final Fantasy and are considering it. It's something that's not been done before. I already spoke to a few people about and I'd like some opinions/ideas.

We were also thinking that if we go through with it, everyone can dress up (The staff in Turks-attire). There will also be different events like cosplay contests, skits and karaoke, etc. We even decided we may want to call it the Gold Saucer. And of course, we will get the copyrights in order to legalize it.

Doesn't Final Fantasy 7 have a bunch of arcade games in it? And I thought...Tobal? was a kind of arcade brawler with Final Fantasy characters in it. Are you trying to make a Final Fantasy for an actual arcade? :eek: I was hoping the EyesonFF arcade was going to get a Final Fantasy facelift. Like...Pac-Quina or something. :p

You'd be aiming at a very niche audience-- people who like RPGs and people who like arcade games. I'm not sure how much overlap there is exactly between fans of FF and arcade game enthusiasts, but I think it might look something like this.

I love arcade games, but it just doesn't seem like a winning combination unless they make a Gauntlet-style game that doesn't suck (http://forums.eyesonff.com/final-fantasy-crystal-chronicles/).

A DDR/PUMP made completely with remixed ff music would be...impossible, but awesome.

But i think FF has enough variety to make plenty of arcade games from it though i doubt they will ever be made.

Anywho, that's a pretty cool idea. A problem I see is that you'd have to find games that Final Fantasy fans would like, but aren't Final Fantasy games. Oh, and there's the whole copyright thing, but you already mentioned that.

Oh, and the staff should dress up as Final Fantasy classes, not Turks. >_>
