If you had your own room, what would you do in there? I'm talking non-bedroom room.
I'm starting to need a sewing room pretty soon here. My sewing set up in the livingroom is pretty hardcore but it sucks 'cause I have to put it away every night. So I'd need a sewing area in the room, and a table for cutting and ironing. I'd like a clean, flat surface for sculpting, drawing, and painting. And a cushy chair and a TV, of course.
Then maybe my husband will shut up about the mess I leave all over when I'm doing my crafty crap. :p

I'd put my TV, all of my games, my computer, and any other electronics and my sewing stuff in it.

I sew for work, and I HATE having to bring everything out to work on stuff and then have to put it all away, So much wasted time! I wish I could have a sewing room. My mom is pretty hardcore into scrapbooking and has a room dedicated to it.
My room is really only used for sleeping, knitting, reading and watching tv.
Shlup can we make a Twilight quilt? :p

Twilight quilt... Hmm... Would it SPARKLE and DAZZLE?
Speaking of which, my friend and I have officially designated our craft nights as DAZZLE NIGHTS. Muahaha

Yeah we can make it, then dip the whole thing into glue and then glitter! haha
Or just make each character with Sequins!

a reading room; easy access to books and recliners and couches you can lay/sit a number of ways on so I don't get bored or stiff. (I found out after three harry potter release nights you have to keep moving during those marathon reads), and a computer.

A room for my doggies! They have so many toys that we have to store most of them in closets and spare rooms; they need a small chest for their clothes, too.

it'd be cool to have a room that you can just bounce around in. like one of those bouncy houses except ... in a room and minus the screaming kids. :jess:

I have a non-bedroom room! It is called the 'computer room'. It is where I am now.
If I could make another room, I would probably put a computer in that room. I would call that room, The Gym.

I would also like a room like that. I have a strawberry cookie jar that looks similar to those!

You mean the padded room at the loony bin? :D
I would probably go with a kind of medieval room. Solid stone walls, lit with torches; tall, narrow windows along one wall, possibly stained-glass; chains attached to one wall, with a (fake?) skeleton or two shackled by the wrists, perhaps with random splashes of dark red paint for a creepy effect; a bookshelf opposite to the skeleton wall, with a cabinet above it holding several matching glass goblets; and about ten chairs surrounding a large, round wooden table in the center.

I would have it as my activity room and also a relaxing room. I would have my art stuff, a fridge full of chocolate, a tv, a couch bed in front of the tv, music so I can dance or workout to, books, a punch bag and a treadmill to keep myself fit.

I have my own room in the house. It currently contains a sofa, my pc and all my painting equipment. But it needs to be re-organized.

Timely threads are timely!
I've been putting together an inspiration board for the new office I'm gonna have once I move.
I adore Pottery Barn, I don't care how yuppie it comes across. I just really love the aesthetics of clean, classic furnishing. Basically want a work station with a lot of organization to it. Drawers for filing, calendar, to-do list tack boards, cupboard space for my supplies, etc.

...Or maybe a room with a bunch of fluffy bedding, a huge water bottle coming off the wall and in the corner food in a bowl. There would have to be a giant wheel that I can run around on, of course. :3

Mine would be an entertainment room with my TV, games consoles, and everything else entertainment wise. Much like what I plan to turn my brother's room into if he ever moves out.

I want a room with space for a computer and space for a little studio to work on art and stuff like that and with a nice big bookcase too, so I can just read in there on a big comfy couch. :3

Shelves. Lots and lots of shelves and drawers for organizing. Also, a long and wide desk to study on. I like to use up a lot of space while studying.

I have a music room, where I have a baby grand piano, my harp (and its case), a couple of guitars and various other instruments I play. Largely it consists of oboes, flutes and saxophones. As well as that I have a couple of music stands (of which about one works) and a bookshelf with all of my sheet music repetoire.
And a traditional Welsh costume that should really be in my wardrobe.

It would be a library of all the books that I have read/want to read. There would be a big cushy chair to read in, and a random fish tank in it. My Laptop would also somehow wind up there as well on a couch. :p
There may or may not be a kitty on the chair. :cat:
