Close to Hell and Heaven?

I have seen many guides that menion locations in FFVIII that are "close to Hell/Heaven". What exactly does that mean and where abouts on the game can find out where they are?

island closest to hell is the west most island while island closest to heaven is a north east island.

"close to heaven/hell" I assume is a pun on that they are on the top of the map and bottom of the map, however as to when they are mentioned in the game I am not sure.

I just typed ff8 map into google. As you can see, the island farthest to the west is closest to hell and the farthest northeast is closest to heaven.

Those islands have really hard enemies and lots of invisible draw points.

I got curious so I started scouring gamefaqs to see what these hotspots were called in other translations:

l'île Paradisiaque (paradise island)
l'île de l'Enfer (island of the inferno)

anyone know if they were the same in the japanese?

"Yarou" defies literal translation, but it's basically just a derogatory name. "Wuss" is pretty appropriate.
