I've got a quick question about the game.

Now, I used to play FFXI pretty often, but after that I stopped for a while. I've kinda been thinking about getting into it again, but I have a question about the game's story. Each expansion pack, as far as I know, has a final boss and its own story. But if I were to start playing now, will the old areas still be the same, with the same story situations? o_o

Pandemonium has Del Murder, Miriel, Masamunemaster, Phoenix, and Citizen Bleys has a character there that he plays occasionally.

The clear solution to this is that those on Pandemonium should move over to Midgardsormr.

There has been a lot added to older zones recently, but the story doesn't really effect any zones - btw I love these story archs and I really can't wait for the new side story missions.

If only Del and Bleys came to Midgard, then it'd be 100% awesome.

Well, while playing Final Fantasy 3j, I realized that I still have a Ps2 with Playonline and FFXI on it, so after fiddling around a bit, I've re-obtained a content ID. Now, I'm waiting around for this update of monumental proportions. If my character is gone, which I am near positive that it is (Last Login: Something/Something/2006), I'll see if I can get into Midgard.

In other news, I'm about to go into the Tower of Owen in Final Fantasy 3.

Edit: By the way, how easy might it be for me to find the Vanadiel Collection for the Ps2?

While not impossible, mainly improbable. I don't think I'd pay those prices for it, when I can get a much better version on either Xbox360 or Windows at a much cheaper price.

If only I had the money and the ability to play I would consider bringing me and a few friends to Midgardsormr, but alas 1 I cant play and 2 they wouldnt come over cause most of them are really into the ls' that they have...unless I could get certain ones to come over....but still...no playing for me; ;

One more question, if I may. On the Midgar server, would you say there's an over-abundance of Tarutarus?

No, I wouldn't say that, but it's hard to tell when you have 3000 people on during peak times. :p

Well, right now I can't get on, but I will be able to in a bit. Then, I'm going to make a character, and I'm leaning towards making a Hume. What do you think? Good choice, or bad choice?

Also, I'm having some difficulty deciding on a name. I know that Ocinico is free, and Nicocin, but both of those are dumb. I laughed at the thought of having a Kentarocin, but now I'm actually thinking about it. Basically, Ocin is a name I commonly use for online games, and Kentarou is obviously my username here, so I thought maybe I should combine the two in some way for playing FFXI on Midgarsormrormr. :p

Edit: Oh, and I agree that Tarutarus are easily the best. But I've played with a TaruTaru character quite a bit, and I think I'd prefer to play as something else this time around. The reason I'm choosing a Hume is because they're the most balanced, and can work at least decently with any Job, if I remember right.

I'll just repeat what everyone has been saying since pretty much 2005. Race doesn't matter at all, just pick which one you think you'll enjoy looking at whenever you play. Any race can play any job fine, the end.
