Y'know, stuff you take when you're out.
Yes things like Mobiles are pre-stated...
Mine are my Vampire Fangs ^_^~ I'm a laughing stock, but I adore them so.

Actually it's a good book, I could take my DS but I hate playing my DS on the tube, everyone looks trying to see what I am playing and thus I just pick up a good book and read on the train in to work, which is a good idea because where I live it takes 40 - 70 mins to get to work on average and since I have 2 jobs and work 7 days a week I'd kill my battery and probably not have time to recharge my DS anyhow.

Pack of cards. Never know when it comes in handy
If I had a good pair of neko mimi I would never leave home without them :D
But, since I don't have any, my favorite thing to carry around would be my two shiny sets of dice. Because if I didn't keep them in my coat pocket I would probably lose them.

Books, lots of them. I used to take a big ole' heavy duty duffel bag with me to school. Filled to the brim with books. I have no clue how much it weighed but I had more than 100 books loaded into it(all of which I owned. I practically had a small library with me everywhere I went). Sadly the duffel bag ripped due to the weight :(.
More normally I carry at least 4-5 books with me if possible. Particularly if it is manga. I can go through your average sized manga in about 30 minutes. So 4-5 volumes is only a little over 2 hours worth of reading if I am serious. With novels I can read about 5-8 200-400 page novels in a day if I want without any issue(even if I have 'work' or school).
Speaking of which that reminds me of what I used to do in math class. I used to read during lectures. So our math teacher would come up to me and take my book away. At which point I would just pull out a different one and read(I can easily keep track of my place in 4-5 books at a time without issue). Take away that one... well I have another. And another, and another, and another. And when I had the duffel bag... well that is a lot of books to take away!
That or writing materials, but in general I can't right without a good desk thus making it kinda pointless on a trip.

Ring watch.
I always carry around pens. At least one, though mostly I have three. You never know when they could be useful, and handy makeshift weapons if you get into that situation

Wallet? Check.
Cell-phone? Check.
Car Keys? Check.
Then sometimes I take my iPod, depending on where I'm going.

.....I WANT ONE OF THOSE.
Anyway, I always seem to carry my car keys with me, even if someone else is driving. I don't know why.
Generally, I always have my cell phone, wallet, keys, and a pen on me at all times.

Definitely this when I'm heading on a long journey. Nothing else really springs to mind.

Chapstick, because my lips dry out at an alarming rate.
Also, iPod and DS, because I need something to keep myself occupied with at all times or else I am bored.
