What is the cheat to get all the characters to it´s max stats?

I've heard that if you hit the X button and the Circle button often enough in a certain pattern for about 200 hours, you can get max stats in the attributes that matter.

Please specify your hack of choice. It's a bit hard to give you a cheat when there are various mediums for this process. It's also pretty difficult to direct to GameFAQs, because, you know, it would require typing it into the url bar.
