Try doing it during a thunderstorm with someone to talk to. Takes some of the pressure off!

My only tips for that challenge: use a map from GameFAQs to find the areas where the lighting falls more often. You'll save a lot of time that way.
Also, use some kind of counter to keep track of how many you've dodged. Personally, I used a calculato: press 10++, then press = after every 10 dodges to make the display increase by 10. And always, always dodge at least 20 more than you think you need to, just in case your count is off.
