Elemental Madness!

Good day, people.
I am playing Final Fantasy IV today (DS version) and it seems I have now arrived inside the Giant of Bablin (correct?) and will now face the elemental archfiends. I failed three times now :rolleyes2 Anyone have a good advice how to kill off theses elemtalists? :mog:

My party: Cecil, Lv 58 - Edge, Lv 55 - FuSoYa, Lv 51 - Rydia, Level 56 - Rosa, Lv 55

You shouldn't have any trouble at those levels! I beat the game quite easily around that level. Just make sure Rosa does nothing but heal, I guess, and play on elemental weaknesses.

It´s still a problem though :P I have a hard time when Scarmiglione uses Slow on everyone. I know it´s healable, but since I only can use Dispel at one at a time, it gets pretty rough :mog:

Well Scarmiglione is undead, so he is weak to healing spells. Try that on him.

Make sure you dispel the slow status first on the people who can use Dispel, that way you can get rid of the nasty status faster. Good luck :p

Counter slow with haste, its better than using dispel imo. Cecil should start off as a support character, casting shell and protect on everyone. Rosa should heal and haste, Rydia should be spamming -aga- spells or Bahamut (if you have him) and Edge and Kain should focus on attacking. Don't bother using Edge's ninjutsu, it sucks against bosses. Kain should be fine as is. For a defensive game, keep the Defender on Cecil, for an offensive game, use the Avenger.

I find Barbbarricia is the nastiest of the four fiends. The same strategy used to beat Cagnazzio and Rubicante still apply hear.

To counter Slow with Haste seems like a good idea, but I think I will level up a bit more first. They could attack me good sometimes :(

You have FuSoYa and considering Meteor finally casts with decent speed, you can always spam that. :p

Yes but as I said, I thought of him when it came to fight Barbarricia/Valvalis. Slip of the memory... :eep:
