So what are some of the featured films and TV shows that some of you are looking forward to this year. From shows I'm only looking forward to the continuation of Heroes. It will give me something to do until classes start back.
For Movies, although I don't think I'll be as fortunate as last year and be able to view nine movies, but these are what I'm keeping an eye on.
Gran Torino (http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1810038822/video/10360603)
Watchmen (http://watchmenmovie.warnerbros.com/)
X-Men Origins: Wolverine (http://marvel.com/news/moviestories.6407.Watch_the_X-Men_Origins%7Ecolon%7E_Wolverine_Trailer)Is that child storm:eek:!?
Madea Goes to Jail (http://www.traileraddict.com/trailer/madea-goes-to-jail/trailer)
Notorious (http://www.foxsearchlight.com/notorious/)
I think Marvel is supposed to be releasing another movie too this year, but I'm not sure if it's going to come out.

afaik the next Marvel movie isn't slated to come out until 2010. I think that's when they say the Cap movie is coming out.
Looking forward to Watchmen. Haven't heard of many other movies that really get me that excited.

Alice In Wonderland (Tim Burton) - this one's date of release is march 2010 but it's by far the one I'm looking forward to the most... I like pretty much everything that spawns out of Tim Burton's disturbing imagination and I'm sure this one will be pretty sick too:)

Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds [sic, slick].
I am also looking forward to Whedon's Dollhouse. Assuming Fox doesn't cancel it in 2 episodes.

im looking forward to The Watchmen, but i reckon it could well be another destruction of a Alan Moore classic
The Road was supposed to be out by now, but it's been pushed back to 2009. I'm really getting psyched for it. I read the book in school, and it was the only book for school that I actually paid attention too. xD It's a post-apocolyptic story about a man and a boy who are walking down (get this :shifty:) a road.
It'll be rated-R if they stick true to the story.
Also, what's the scoop on the Arrested Development film?

Not from the Lawsuit...theres been (rumoured) reports that Rothman's been stirring up crap for the director.. changing stuff creatively on set and what not! Apparently his not so friendly with the executives in Fox!

Oh yeah I forgot Notorious is coming out in less than a week how can I forget about that I see previews of it all the time. I wonder who they got to play Lil Kim and will the Foxy Brown speculation make an appearance and have the two snatch out each others weave?

You don't think that the Half Blood Prince will be as much as a disappointment as Order of the Phoenix?
Edit: Oh and I forgot about X-Play and Attack of the Show too. I don't care much for their humor, but they are like the only TV source that I can get info for video games, tech, and practically almost all the stuff I care about.

Daisy's show about whatever it is she does
Bret Michael's show about whatever it is he does
Stupid reality crap because there isn't much else on TV I feel like watching unless it's all at once in a box set.

It's not about my expectations it's the fandom that drags me in there. That's why HP films always gross almost a billion dollars each time.

Order of the Phoenix wasn't that bad, though it could have been way better if they hadn't cut out so much of the plot. Prisoner of Azkaban was still the best film to date.

I'm not a huge fan of the Harry Potter films, but what were they supposed to do though with Order of the Phoenix, have a five hour film? It's the largest book! Though god knows the book of Order of the Phoenix could have done with some editing anyway in the first place.
Anyway I can't wait for Lost and the Doctor Who specials this year. And as for films, the new Pixar film Up, because it's Pixar.

Obviously they couldn't fit in the entire plot, but they made the shortest film out of the longest book. That's clearly ridiculous.
I fell asleep watching Azkaban. You must have been tired.

The two main things I'm looking forward to are the movie adaptations of two of my absolute favourite children's books: The Fantastic Mr. Fox, and Where the Wild Things Are. Actually, make that two of my favourite books overall. I don't know how many times I've read each.
I'm also looking forward to seeing:
Pixar's Up
Miyazaki's Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea
Jennifer's Body (written by Diablo Cody of Juno fame)
Woody Allen's Whatever Works
Coen brothers' A Serious Man
Funny People (yeah I know it has Adam Sandler but it also has Judd Apatow and Seth Rogen so shut up)
Public Enemies (Depp vs. Bale is just too exciting to pass up)
