Those of you who own a DS may have played a few FF games that was released on there and also may have enjoyed one more than the other despite being completely different from each other. So my question is, which FF game on the DS did you enjoy playing the most? I have only played FF III, FF XII:RW, and FFTA2:GoTR. FF III was fun to play and FFTA2 wasn't so bad either, but I enjoyed playing FF XII:RW the most. I like the strategic element that they added and I like the backstory that was added to the characters.

This is a tough one cause I hope to buy FFTA2 and FFXII:RW in the next few days. I have FFIII and IV though, FFIII was a mind blowing experience as it was my first time through the title. I'm currently working on a second playthrough but IV still beats it out, I'm afraid.
I felt the remake did pretty good justice to this gem of a classic and the innovation fulfilled elements that more modern gamers would appreciate. They were both great titles but I may change my mind once I play the two mentioned above.

IV, definitely. I thought a few things were done better in III (mainly the environments) but IV exceeded my expectations in pretty much every way. Ring of Fates was also good for what it was but nothing I would really go back to. Revenant Wings was just bad. I haven't played TA2 and don't really intend to.
Well.... I have a DS emulator, that's close enough, right?
So far I've played FFTA2 and I'm just playing IV (right before the Tower of Zot right now). FFTA2 was fun and all, but holy crap, IV is blowing my mind. I'm in love all over again. IV definitely gets the nod from me. At least until they make an emu that can play III, then we'll see how things stand.

I've only played III and Revenant Wings, I'm very impressed with what Square Enix is doing on the DS (also got Dragon Quest IV). III was well done as an NES-style game (not just a remake). I liked Revenant Wings a little better. RTS and RPGs are my favorite genres, and I really felt they hit it out the park with the combination, something which could easily have been bad or quirky.
The only problem for the audience is that not every SE fan is used to the genre or its underlying mechanics, so I think not everyone was into it, I know alot of members here found it very difficult.

People only like to give opinions anonymously, unless your an attention whore or a troll like me. ;)
Started playing TA2 and The World Ends With You and must say that I swear all of SE's love goes into the DS these days. Both titles are amazing!

FFTA2 gave me the most playtime. Then I guess second place would go to FFIV. TWEWY is great too, though I haven't finished it yet.

I own Final Fantasy III and IV and I would have to choose IV. Final Fantasy IV is done very well with the graphics and 3d look, so I think thats the best one.
Final Fantasy IV for me. RW was good, and III was good, but it was a toss up between Chocobo Tales and IV, but IV takes the cake. Though I think TA2 would be best if I owned it

Honestly?
Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates may have been the most fun of the FF games. I wish I had a friend who had the game as well to play with me.
I liked III, and IV, but I'd played them both before, and I never actually finished either DS version.
FFTA2 was more of the same, and while I beat the game, I never finished all the missions like I did the first one.
XII:RW was different and fun, and I accomplished everything in it... but it's probably not a game I'd ever play again
TWEWY is probably my favorite game for the DS(maybe even ever... except for the BLING lol), of course it's not an FF so I guess it doesn't count.

I got distracted from RW early on and shelved it, but I did the same thing with fft and then ended up falling in love with it once I went back. Hopefully this fall I will do the same with RW. I need to go buy ff3.

FFTA2, definitely. The game is awesome.
Most of the other FF games I play on GBA, and I couldn't get into the DS version of III.
Revanant Wings got really annoying gameplay-wise as the game went on, and Crystal Chronicles was kind of "meh" (neither bad, nor great).

If TWEWY counts, TWEWY. :p
But really, I liked Revenant Wings for a while, and then it got old and dull really fast.
After playing Disgaea for a while, games like FFTA2 seem extremely slow-paced and it just couldn't keep my attention.
I'm sure I'll be swooning over FFIV DS whenever I cave in and buy it. Either that, or I'll hate it.

III, because it's the only DS FF I've played

I've only played III thus far but would definitely be interested in trying some of the others but I wasn't hugely impressed by it. Not sure whether it's because of the game itself or because of the port, but while I enjoyed playing it, it wasn't brilliant.

I said III. I would have said Chocobo Tales but that game is so damn frustrating at points that it misses the mark a bit.

I'd have to say IV, though I did also really like III.
